Thanks for the informative video. Firstly, how can one proof ownership in a self employed business that is not yet registered. Secondly, if after two years of running d business, it was incorporated and I and my husband are directors but my husband is in a paid employment. So I run d farm on a full time basis. Does this still count as self employed. Thirdly, despite being incorporated, the business still runs the way it used to, before incorporation; I still transact business using my personal account. I just opened an account for d company and I am yet to use it for any transaction. Is there any implication for this. Furthermore, the person that helped register the company mistakenly used my residential address as the address of the company. Lastly, how do I package my application with the above scenario. Bear it in mind that I av reference letters from my clients and suppliers, payment receipts including personal account statement to back up by suppliers and clients claims.

Hi Kubeir, I have a one question regarding my work experience. I'm working in Canada. I got a job as a roof designer in a company and i have worked there from august 2021 to august 2022. For first 5 months I worked as a employee(payroll) but after December I had to move from that city so company provided me work from home(contract worker) but I got paid by per project and I have to pay tax by my self(like freelancer). This is typical of B2C businesses. @@AskKubeir I am a Bangladeshi, doing business in Malaysia. I am 31 years old married, having one baby. I have a privet company incorporate in 2013. I am a director of my company. I do clothing retail and trading, having 10 retail shops around Malaysia. In 2019 the company's projected turnover around 2M CDR. I got my Experatret visa under my company first 3 years (2013-2016) as a "Chairmen". meanwhile, the Malaysian government stopped giving visa to foreigners under any trading, textile and retail company intending to involve only local people with this sector. Therefore early 2016 I join a company as a "Marketing Analyst" for 2 years contract basis. But I continue my business with a local partnership. After completing my 2 years contract I shift my visa under my wife as a dependent and run my business till now. Malaysian tax office gave me a resident status certificate as because I pay my personal taxes properly continuously 5 years. I am a university dropped, only having a secondary school certificate. I never try for IELTS. My wife is a graduate of electrical engineering, doing her masters in Malaysia. I believe I can gather business and experience related all necessary documents for the self-employed category with your proper guideline. If it's a Pvt Ltd company, you can take reference from other directors in the company. Also you can get reference from clients and suppliers or other business related associations. Also show proof of income and proof of ownership.

I think there's an issue that has not been addressed and it affects a lot of freelancers. Many freelancers work through websites that they are one in many and a reference letter cannot be provided eg. transcription websites. How does such a freelancer prove the number of hours they worked?

Hi Sir, I started a partnership firm in 2014 and after that, since the last 2 years I have been working on my own. I have all the proofs to show that money was regularly credited to my account but since in India proprietorship and partnership firms are not required to be registered by law, I didn't bother to get it registered. What should I do in that case? Also, on the website, I read that the self-employed category is available only for people engaged in cultural and athletic activities.
