I have a question in example 1 - does he not get a deduction for one half of the Medicare tax? 1.45%?

What is the amount of K’s self-employment tax for 2024 (rounded to the nearest dollar)? ... after seeing yr video I was able to grasp the concept but however I am not able to understand this very question .. can pls explain how to solve this sir !!
