Ok, that push up one was awesome. It reminded me of two stories: 1. A correctional deputy I worked with was a strong man competitor and inmates would challenge him to a pull up competition for a Snickers bar. The catch was matching the way he did the pull ups…he only used his middle fingers on the bar. They would try to beat him but never could. Since gambling wasn’t allowed in the jail, the whole Snickers bar as the bet was just to have something “on the line.” The most I witnessed him complete was 9. That’s in full gear and duty belt (20+ lbs). 2. A home improvement expo had a Marines recruitment booth with a pull up/push up competition with potential recruits against the recruiters. The challenge was complete as many as possible in 60 seconds. The recruiters were trying to get this one guy to try out against them, but he wasn’t too interested. Finally his girlfriend convinced him to try. They did pull ups first. He completed 35 and the recruiter got 26 or 27. When they were getting ready for the push ups, he asked which recruiter was the best at push ups. It was a different guy, so this guy says he wants to go against that one. Bro knocked out 120 push ups in 60 seconds. The recruiter didn’t even break 60. I have never witnessed anything like that before or after. Turns out the dude was a Olympic gymnast. I had video of it, but it was a Razr flip phone and I’m pretty sure the video is on a corrupt hard drive.
