This truly applies to all of your videos, but especially this one - thank you for always being so open and vulnerable. It’s not the norm and it’s never not appreciated! Your vulnerability has helped me and so many others with our own struggles, but it also let’s one recognise all the good things in life, like love, friendships and kindness. I’m very grateful that you continuously share so much with us!! Wish you nothing but the best

I can’t explain it but you give me such warmth and comfort that hearing your voice and seeing your face feels like a hug. I love your videos more than I can put into words 💖 hope you’re doing well keelin x

As a student I struggle with the whole cooking for one food waste issue too! Something that has helped me is using any veg I have in the fridge that’s starting to look a bit sad to make soup! Just add stock (I like using bouillon) and it’s so yum + prevents food waste + it’s an easy way to eat lots of veggies in one meal. I usually blend mine and then freeze portions to use later which helps out future me as well. It’s a win win :) x

Im 18 and i swear i’ve been consistently watching you for over 5 years now? I remember when you used to make videos abt veganism and climate anxiety being very young, i’ve felt so vulnerable and confused about what to do with myself, what decisions are right, wether i have innate value/worth. i feel like young girls are often taught they need to be offering something, helping someone out or valuable for some reason or another. i have definitely felt this pressing feeling that i need to get to a certain point at the earliest age i can for anyone to see any value in me.. with this, your videos have always been comforting, made me feel alright abt navigating myself & taught me that no life decisions i make can stop me from being smart, compassionate, resilient, loving & fun . i really don’t know how to articulate my point but i realised this the other day when showing my partner your channel saying “i’ve been watching her videos so long, it’s so nice to see someone change and grow yet still have the same core essence” . idk but, hearing you talk about your own feelings and be compassionate for yourself but also be vulnerable & honest about how you feel sometimes, has really helped me view myself as someone who is still learning and be less harsh on myself .

There was nothing wrong with your old weight. F everyone who had the audacity to even make a remark. I never thought you were huge, even when you were pregnant you looked normal with a belly. You have a great body, haters gonna hate. Rihanna was big when she was pregnant yet she still glowed and so did you. Even if you were fat so what? Thing is you really weren’t. Truly think anyone who commented on your body might be a bit insecure about weight themselves and this is coming from someone who on the skinny side and has never had weight problems. I think I saw an insta post from you the other day and I was actually thinking I love keelins style these days.it’s a vibe 🫶

I’ve never thought about my body so much until people started commenting on it?? Now I understand why a lot of people & big influencers prob feel a pressure to stay so thin!! I couldn’t imagine going through an ED and someone commenting a COMPLIMENT about how thin you look?
@FEnquiries10 ай бұрын
@@KeelinMoncrieff Sooo true! It’s crazy how powerful comments from strangers you know shouldn’t matter to you can make such an impact on your emotions and feelings. It’s a crazy survival mechanism. It makes you question yourself and thats normal and a good thing. I’m glad to hear that you seem to have managed to get over that. Somtimes people are skinny and look great but the lengths they go to get that body is far from healthy. Then the compliments they get reinforces to them that what they are doing is a great idea. We’re all allowed to want to look good but always do that process with love with loveee. EVERYONE is beautiful in their own way and you can slay no matter how you actually look. Slay comes from within and a healthy diet will help you feel good about ourselves. We consume so much food over our lifetime because it’s so good for us and we need it to survive! It is essentially the most natural form of medicine we take everyday so it’s really important to have a good relationship with food and eat more of what’s good for us and limit (don’t need to cut it out completely) the not so good foods.

I had such a similar experience when I went through my breakup! I moved away and was isolated and wasn't eating or looking after myself and then when I moved home the first night out we had I had never gotten so many compliments from friends saying I looked so good! My own mother was even like see what happens when you're living alone? You're walking more and now you have a thigh gap!! And honestly I felt that she was so proud or something???? I have never been overweight or even close to it so it was so strange, I felt as if everyone had secretly been willing for me to lose a load of weight (fast too?) and then really struggled in getting out of my disordered eating habits because of it, even when I was over the breakup and beginning to look after myself more, it seemed like everyone around me was convinced I was the "healthiest" I'd ever been or something? I think it comes back to what you were saying at the start though, people are insecure themselves and then are projecting. It's heartbreaking actually how many women celebrate weight loss when there's no need for it (especially when celebrating for someone else umprompted???). I remember when I was in a better headspace and realised I needed to put back on weight and did so, I was so excited that I was back to a weight that felt manageable (i.e. had my period again, wasn't fainting etc) and expressed this by saying 'I've put on weight!' to my friends in a happy tone and was met with "omg no you haven't!!!" because it's like a knee-jerk response to assume someone putting on weight = bad? Anyway, it's obviously a pet peeve of mine but I'm glad you're feeling healthier and happier and hope you never feel like you have to explain why your body looks a certain way ever again!!

I struggled with my nutrition for years too!! Its taken a while but Im finally finding a groove. Recommendation: try to focus on reducing the amount of sugar/empty carbs and increasing healthy fats and fiber. Eating like this will give you more energy and you will stay full for longer. I dont believe in diet restriction or cutting out anything - just making small adjustments where you can will make a huge difference. For instance - eating lots of eggs and tuna (cheap and good for you) and trail mix as a snack rather than chips or something. Also if you cant afford/ cant keep fresh veg around try swapping for kimchi or saurkraut - has the added benefit of probiotics too. Hope this helps!!! ❤

I totally understand why content creators are moving away from labour intensive long form content but I have to say I miss it so much. I adore nothing more than a chatty GRWM, it’s such a comforting way to consume media without it being spliced by a thousand other things (as much as I do spend more time than I’d like to admit scrolling on TikTok). Thank you for continuing to make it.

The thing I always hope for people is that they are not lonely and people who make comments on others without knowing them at all (especially their appearance) must be so lonely in their thoughts. Remember that is a reflection on them, society at large and their own insecurities, rather than about you 💘✨ EDIT: In terms of the podcast I would love if you did episodes on: • Young Motherhood in the 21st Century • ADHD and Nutrition (I think this might help you as well) • The Difficulty of Friendship in Adulthood • The Effects of Periods on the Body • Pregnancy, Birth and Post-Natal Experiences • Sex Ed, Consent and Raising Your Kids to understand consent and their own bodies

I’d really love to see an honest retrospective from you on motherhood thus far. Im not in the most optimum state, societally, to have a child (mid 20s, not working in my ‘dream job’, in a relationship but not married, basically don’t have it figured out, but, really want a child as soon as possible. Not necessarily your pros and cons because I know that some things aren’t quantifiable.. but in Irish society currently, most wait until mid 30’s as the ‘safe’ choice, would appreciate your input. Mwah ❤

I don’t know if this comment will help you with that last bit of the video in which you talk about everyone commenting on your weight loss and you looking fit - I’m right now watching all of your old content as well as the new and to me the way you have changed is noticeable but in SO MANY DIFFERENT ways other than your weight. Like: you changed your make up routine I think, you took out your piercings, you dyed your hair to a colour that is closer to your natural one (?) idk it just makes you look more natural and grown up? Excuse my lack of adjectives to describe what I’m trying to say. But it also seems like you have just matured mentally (which also is just a part of growing up) and sometimes that shows in outer appearance as well. But I want to say like there is no significant difference between old and new content because it’s both you… I absolutely love your personality and the way you share your thoughts on books and interesting topics. Your old videos as well as the new ones are my number one comfort thing to watch right now because you’re so fun and just bubbly. Anyways, I just wanted to comment on that, I hope it helps in any way.

Hey Keelin! I'm vegan and I find Fitgreenmind's KZbin channel so handy. She has so many quick and healthy recipes on her reels and posts a simplified recipe in the description. The woman is literally bursting with abbs haha and super is nutrition is really important to her as she does a lot of trainings for marathons etc. Deffo give her page a look especially if you're struggling with new ideas 💡in terms of prep, I'm a firm believer that vegan food can be just as quick as meat based things. The only issue sometimes can be sourcing those ingredients and having to go online sometimes to buy things (only in Ireland though as I think the UK where I live is incredible and so easy to be vegan). Maybe u know all this already 😉 but just thought I'd post in case it helps you xxx

With meals I try to go for this formula: a protein (beans, chickpeas, lentils etc), a carb and veg!! But then in terms of balancing flavours, it’s nice to have a little bit of sour, sweet, salty and savoury on the go! For sour for example say pickles or lemon, sweet can be a nice tomato sauce, and then good deep spices for the savoury-ness. So like a paneer/tofu and chickpea curry (could add pepper and spinach maybe) with mango chutney and pickled red onions has a nice balance of diff taste profiles! I also like doing leeks and mushrooms and butter beans in a creamy/cheesey sauce and topped with crispy chilli oil as this has a nice mix of flavours. I’m not that clued up so there’s defo more to it but I find generally that’s a good method to follow. You can also mix up your food textures so for example that leek dish is all quite soft so it’s nice to have on toast for some crunch :-)
