hmmm- in regards to what you say at around 1:15, perhaps its moreso a matter of say: "if you think about periods of your life where you happened to be nearly perfectly obedient, or at least incredibly close to that, you'll notice that all those things (and everything else for that matter) were indeed naturally perfect, and without the whole ~i want my xyz thing to be better/make me happier~ fixation" so basically, it all comes down to the fact that without the falsehoods and idolatry seeping in, or to put it better, making the choice not to allow it to...nobody would be "wanting for a better" anything (or wanting altogether, for that matter), due to legitimately obeying the word and refusing to keep idols in any capacity excellent podcast, really made me think
