That's their attempt to change the course of history whenever it relates to black people. So long as it is a negative and sterotypical tale then it must be true. Think about how long white people decided to admit man originates from Africa after centuries of lies. Why should black people be remembered historically in the eyes of the white man. The white man will continue with the bigoted propaganda .

you know that it's the divisiveness of our community that makes high ratings T, not unity among each other. Just imagine if they told the story as two young black women working together both helping each other and their people while improving their community, people and themselves. That's a very powerful message. Using the media to tell the black community how much more we could accomplish United than divided? Other than black content creaters, who would spread that message, definitely not msm.
@MichaelKatide
@MichaelKatide 4 жыл бұрын
And also divisiveness between husband's and wives... Black men have been comfortable with strong women for many generations. It was not a conflictual relationship leading to domination and suppression as was the case in Europe. Each used their strength for the betterment of the family and community.

The actual make of the film itself was fantastic and entertainment value was excellent 👍👍👍 The true portrayal of facts is definitely in poor taste and divisive 👎👎👎

There was some great information by the young sister midway through valuable information ,jus wish the delivery wasn't so whiny. I understand the emotion ,but to get this message across to the most people it is better to be in a way that doesn't make people feel like they are listening to nails down a chalk board . Peace! It's great to see young people taking aboard this priceless information of struggle and success. I love it. That being said ,maybe this is how this information resonates with her generation and i will never knock that. Peace family.

Is Annie Malone lesser known because she had more of an international brand and lighter models in the ads? Maybe she didnt fit the American narrative? Like DuBois dying as a Ghanaian....Malcolm X and King traveling to Africa..the pregnant teenager who refused her seat in Montgomery 9 months before Rosa?

Madam just put her success on mainstream. Annie was already a successful millionaire. Read a book called "Black Fortunes" great knowledge to be had

This was a real disgrace. And very horrible how this was portrayed. Then they had to add the homosexual agenda to the script. I knew then that it was 🗑. Yes it is very disrespectful. That is why they changed her name to Addie so that they could flex on her character. Every story they tell about us is twisted and lies about so much. This is why we cannot allow them to teach US our history.

It's unfortunate that these writers butchered her story, but good to see Annie Malone getting some of the recognition she deserves.

I don't know why anyone is surprised anymore about these type of movies. It's not a documentary, and it clearly said in the title that it was "Inspired" by the life of Madam CJ Walker. Not once did it say that it was an accurate reflection. Y'all forget that hollyweird is about dramatizing the "facts". The sooner some of y'all realize that, the less angry you will be. Don't even raise your blood pressure because we all know It's all about that 💵💵💵💵💵 with them.

Sometimes we gotta relax. The Netflix movie was loosely based on Madame CJ Walker and obviously dramatized. Why can't we just accept the fact that it was great content! All ya'll are saying this is why we as black people need to tell our own stores well get to writing, directing and producing then. I love the series! **shoulder shrug**

Even though it wasn’t a good representation of these fabulous black women, the falsehoods sparked a great conversation and actually made folks do their own due diligence. I’m intrigued by the TRUTH and I hope the reboot will be closer to FACT rather than fiction👀
