Self Portrait Tutorial | Photography Tips By Cassidy Lynne

Here's a 30 second tutorial for how to take self portraits!
1. Get a good tripod and find a good location you want to use.
2. Mount your camera sideways (I'm using a flash for this shoot). I always put my camera at eye level.
3. Check framing. I always shoot at wide framing & be sure to hit focus.
4. I connect to my camera through an app.
5. Start snapping pictures. I'm using a 5 second timer. Try all kinds of poses and have fun!

What are you mixed results? I use all the time for my projects and I had to deal with a feel issues, so may be able to help

@@thecreativephotographychannel mostly connection drops by only moving 2 feet away, it becomes frustrating, that and the transfer speeds are abysmal

Delete that IME app and invest in the $7 remote shutter. the Jpegs that the camera sends to the phone when you use the app won't be as great as if you were to use an sd card reader to transfer them

The app let you shoot raw too. I shoot Raw and JPeg at the same time

why do you use a flash when it is bright outside

She's using the sun as backlight and using the flash to fill in the rest of her that's in shadow (the side of her facing the camera). It's a good technique to learn and extremely useful.
