the fact that nobody talks about the book called Manifestation Hacks by Olivia Cooper speaks volumes about how people are stuck in a trance.

Ok I need to check it out I have a disability and I'm always on the look out for books with good representation thanks 😊

@yourwelcomebooks It does a good job showcasing how hard it is for Ash to be blind but it doesn't become a pity party where it's harped on. Which I like a lot. It shows Miller did his research but clearly put the disability to service the world building and the character of Ash and his relationship with Holt. Good stuff.

I enjoyed Elisabeth Wheatley's self published "Daindreth's Assassin" series.

I've been looking for someone to honestly review that for so long! Unfortunately her own videos are the only ones that come up on here Can you give your own spoilerfree review?

@@bisma1352The first chapter introduces Amira, an enslaved sorceress sent to assassinate the demonically possessed archduke Daindreth Fanduillion. She uses ka, a life force magic, to evade notice, but things go wrong, and in the excitingly choreographed hand to hand combat (the author is a participant in LARP medieval fairs) the blood magic attack goes weird, and Amira must flee wounded. That's chapter one of book one. The remainder of the five volumes contain gripping descriptions of relationships, journeys, battles, politics and tantalizingly slow burn romance. There's a huge spoiler in the title of the fifth book: Daindreth's Empress.

I don't get the problem with spoilers: I enjoyed reading the series a second time as much as the first. The writing is that good.

@@thyrsus21 @thyrsus21 i think everyone has different things they enjoy about the same story even. So having major plot and twists spoiled ruins the build up the writer did and the ability to judge the story's unpredictability is gone. Rereads have a different value, seeing how the foreshadowing was right there and somehow the author misdirected us or reliving favourite moments from the first time.

Definitely recommend that you take a look at "Where the Lightning Goes" by Jackery Salem. It's a whimsical high fantasy that's a pretty quick read and a stellar audio book. I've listened to it a bunch of times and it doesn't get old lol

Totally agree about unbound. For me i love the levelling up magic system but i get why lot of people might not like it because it can slow and dragged out. I loved the second book because the politics and world building was pretty well done. The third book is definitely my favorite

I’m curious about good fantasy books on Kindle Unlimited. I just signed up and know there’s a lot of self-published and indie authors on that platform. But which ones are actually good and worth reading? I’d love a video recommendation. Love your content! 😊🥰

One of my favorite fantasy authors is Lindsay Buroker. She has a series of urban fantasy series set in Seattle and the Pacific NW that are all available via Kindle Unlimited. The first series is Death Before Dragons, followed by Legacy of Magic and Tracking Trouble. Her sword and sorcery series, The Curse and the Crown, is also on KU. She also has several earlier series where the initial books are available free or $0.99 as a boxed set of three, then subsequent books run around $4-6 each. My favorites of those are Emperor’s Edge and Dragon Blood, both steampunk, Dragon Gate more an epic series, and two sci fi series Star Kingdom and Fallen Empire. Her stories are action packed, fast-paced, with lots of unexpected twists and snarky humor. She creates strong, intelligent, unusual characters with lots of heart who can think on their feet and often have to come up with plans B and C when their instincts don’t work out the first time.

Great video!! I have been listening to your videos for about a month or so and really enjoy. I am a mother who has a child who loves reading!! I just found an author, Sarah Allen, who has a passion for story telling and science!! I am just starting to read some of her books. I just received an advanced copy of "Gravity: A Fairy Tale" which has a cover of a pirate-like young girl standing on a rock with waves crashing behind her and a dragon flying in the background. I am excited to read these and excited to see this being published! She has a handful: The Fairy Tale Physics Series, Physics Story Games books, Stick Figure Physics books, etc. You should consider reading and reviewing these!! ❤ Ps- where did you get your glasses from? And also, did you ever make a video on your make up tutorial?! 😂❤

Elliot I would love to hear your thoughts on and for you to read the novel: “Where The Dark Stands Still” - by A.B Poranek it’s a standalone, an amazing fairytale fantasy, inspired by Ancient Magnus Bride, Howls Moving Castle, as well as Beauty & The Beast vibes with some Slavic Folklore elements for good measure.

Impatiently waiting for Ascendant: Songs of Chaos to become available at my public library. I've only read the free sample but I was totally hooked on the worldbuilding and character development. In the meantime I'm gonna pick up Dungeon Crawler Carl, a D&D-esque setting with a modern day dude just trying to survive, hijinks ensue.
