Self-Remembering = being aware of being aware.
@martinwilliams9866 Жыл бұрын
Self-remembering is the third state of Gurdjieff's teaching of the four states of consciousness, being 1.sleep, 2.waking, 3.self-remembering & 4.objective consciousness, Plato's cave includes all these, 1.Identifying the shadows with reality, being bound, repose & many I's = sleeping, 2.One person being freed & standing up = waking, 3.Turning around to see the fire = self-remembering, 4.Going outside to see the Sun = objective consciousness. Also the Hindu teachings of Turiya has four states of consciousness, 1.Deep Sleep, 2.Dreaming Sleep, 3.Waking, 4.The Witness state (called "The Fourth").

Sir how do we know that there exists something which is unchanging. ie self. What if self is also changing? How do we know otherwise?
@YujFoundation2 жыл бұрын
How means there is some process to self, self is Directly perceived, self is the one looking at all experiences. I know that self is unchanging by being it. Upon investigation logically and Direct experience, it can be established easily.

@@BalvinderNagi self doesn't improve. It has no substance and yet it is, that's 2hy difficult for mind to grasp. But self can see the mind. The one perceiving the mind is self only
