Years ago a friend of mine worked at a UK call center for a massive Nasdaq company. They decided to shut down that operation and manage it all from Canada. Something like 150 staff were going to be let go. The Canadian HQ approached my friend and 5 other people. They explained those 6 people had been identified as the best workers, and the company wanted the 6 of them to go to Canada and work there as part of the new setup. My friend wanted to go, but he felt torn because he knew he'd be leaving his workmates behind. He felt bad as they'd all lost their jobs. He was close to declining the offer to go, until I told him he was f'king crazy not to go. In the end he did (and I went to visit him one Christmas). It was one of the best decisions he made and it genuinely changed his life. FWIW, after his old work friends find out he was going, they all accused him of stabbing them in the back. The truth is, they'd have all done the same. As Kris said: you have to be ruthless and look after yourself first. Life is player vs. player; don't be the dweeb who's left behind.

from a young age I always listened to others, I never did what I wanted or did something because it would benefit me and not somebody else. It's a tough lesson to learn because you only really get the reality check once you see others living the life you want and your lagging behind, but once you do, life gets so much better in the long term

A girl I'm dating recently told me it's attractive that I put myself first in my life. I told her that as an adult, nobody is gonna look out for you, so you need to be the one to take care of yourself and be proactive about getting the life you want. If you don't prioritize your own goals, you'll end up just working forever on other people's goals-like helping your boss get his goals, or helping your family get their goals, but never getting what *you* actually want. If you don't put yourself first in your life, your happiness will either be an accident or never happen at all.

Ngl broke up w my shawty the other day, 3yrs, I couldn’t lie to myself and tell myself i was still happy after everything we had been through. The more you keep lying to yourself the deeper your life will fall into seasons and cycles you dont like fellas. Truth be told i never shouldve been in the relationship but instead of sticking to how i felt years ago i twisted out of scarcity. Sit down with your selves men, really get to know what you want, if i had listened to the teachings of Kris more thoroughly i coulda saved myself alot if heart ache. My friend told me the same thing, “you gotta be selfish and focus on you, youll know when your ready for that stuff again”.

I have really learnt on my Self Improvement journey, that Kris is the only guy worth listening too. So many 'Influencers' are faking it and switch up. I love Hamza and will be eternally grateful for all he has done but he's constantly recycling his content and switches up what he preaches all the time. Your the real one Kris. Hope this helps anyone who struggles to know who to listen too, on their personal journey!

15:34 this reminds me of andy griffith. he was from a small town in north carolina, and everyone there at the time didn't like him due to him leaving for hollywood. my family was distantly related to him and they apparently didn't like him because he didn't come to the family reunions. It's ironic Mt. Airy's entire thing now is being branded as the place where he grew up lol. This stuff you're talking about has been true for a long time.

So much truth here. Drank a lot from 13 years and then when I was 22 I just realised what a waste it was getting hammered and quit after getting arrested for scrapping a copper. Reaction from some of my closest pals at that time was visceral, “weirdo” etc Now we’re in our 30s some of those lads have severe social anxiety and are now quitting booze but without the decade of gains I had realised in the same period.

What you said at the beginning of the video is 100% accurate, well for me personally. I was hanging with couple of people last week. We talked about girls for the majority of the time, which made me feel like I should hop back on dating apps and create a dope instagram in order to attract women. It was almost like I was getting sucked back into everything I am running from. They are good people, and I would certainly hang out with them again but it is important to keep your goal on the front of your mind and not get distracted easily.

This is so fkn relatable. I've felt so alone in my success cause of all the "friends" I've lost. Feels good to know that it's something everyone goes through. The shit talking behind your back, back handed comments, not being happy for your success, secretly wishing for your downfall. I will never forget telling one of my friends about an investment that went tits up. The smug delight on his face while he basically said I told you so even though he doesn't know shit about fk when it comes to making money. That was the beginning of the end of our friendship. Known him since we were kids.

16:13 Selfish men succeed. I probably operated mostly with this being agreed-upon in my head, but not in the subconscious part. I saw the few obvious ones, but there were some others that were really fucking close, and and full of animosity, resentment, and pointless distain in their heads, but not to my face, and certainly not because of anything experienced from my actions or words wherever I spoke them. I don’t care so much now and I wish them well. I feel bad for, actually. It’s all just a game we’re playing and it’s not the kind with opponents. Really sucked learning for a couple of them.

14:00 the other side of that which sucks is when you surround yourself with entrepreneurial winners, and even though you fully support them and all of their financial success but you haven't gotten there yet yourself, they drop you because you've become "a part of their past"... in my scenario, I became boring and non-driven to this person because I still wanted to hangout with him and talk about things besides money and status.

It always annoys me when people say "your friends from childhood are your real friends." Implying that the friends you make when you're successful are fake. Sure in some instances that's true. But do you really think that people dont change? Do you think that people have the same interests when they're in school all the way through their lives? It also pisses me off when people say "money chaned him." Or maybe he changed who he is, as a result he got the money.
