For anyone trying to follow this - probably very good video - but who, like me, doesn't speak the guy's language; I think what he's suggesting you do is simply to loosen-off the brake nipple causing a release of pressure (and therefore causing brake fluid to leak)? and this will result in a sudden self-repairing of the jammed caliper? I don't know for sure if this is what's going on, but after messing-about, removing the caliper on my bike and then not knowing what-the-hell to do next and just re-assembling the caliper, I came to this video and tried what he did and it worked for me. Quite amazing - now don't go giving me a hard time if it doesn't work for you. What I will say is this; I don't think applying the small hose is that significant, however it could be some sort of 'hack' to prevent air bubbles getting into the system - WHICH YOU DO NOT WANT - other than that, the little hose will prevent brake fluid spilling over your wheel. If you're going to give this a go without the little hose but you're concerned about air getting into the system, just follow this process: 1. Loosen-off the nipple* then press the brake lever slowly until brake fluid come out of the nipple. 2. WHILE HOLDING THE LEVER IN, tighten-up the nipple again. 3. If no fluid comes out, repeat 1 and 2 until brake fluid does come out (make sure there's brake fluid in the little reservoir/Master cylinder on the handlebars) *The guy in the video uses a brake nipple spanner/wrench, but I used just a size 8 ring spanner/wrench. If the brake nipple is in good condition (or not?) you'll most probably get-away with just using an ordinary spanner/wrench. DO NOT USE A BADLY FITTING SPANNER/WRENCH as you'll probably damage the nut. DON'T FORGET TO FOLLOW STEPS 1 AND 2 CORRECTLY. Thank you, GURUji - my front brake is okay again!

He pressed the side of the caliper to reset the pressure of the cylinder, thus giving space for brake pads to not get into much contact with the brake disc. And then only he locks back the nipple. So there would be no need for taking off the calipers. I also can't understand but i feel that is he pressed hard at the side cuz that's where the cylinder is.

Hi Friend Thank you so much for this beautiful technique. I did try this yesterday on my CBR 250R non abs version however after loosening the bleeder nut the brake oil started coming out and just didn't stop finally I had to remove the remaining as well from the master cylinder and top it up again. Could you plz tell me why all the oil started coming out instead of just the little.

Copper based aur synthetic base ye dono supply karte hai. Aab tak bahut customers Liya hai. Aur achha naam kamaya hai. Is grease apply karne sey ye caliper pins ka action achha hota hai aur paani, kachada door rakegha. High temp mey achhi taraf kaam karta hai aur awaaz nahi karta hai. Thanks.

@karthiknarayan8577 yes... You remove the brake fluid, then again after using it sometimes, it gets filled back. Then the sound starts coming again... The solution is to remove the installed pistons in the calliper and have them lubricated properly. And put them back in place. Another option is to check for the one screw below the calliper, can't remember the name, it rubber padding gets worn out after sometime, and then calliper starts wobbling and making that noise. The best solution is to replace the calliper with the new original one, that's what I went for. Because that's quick and tension free for the future. I spent 1769 rs for new calliper. Your call bro... But I suggest you do this as soon as possible, before you get your brake disk gets damaged....

thank you for your timely help through your videos. i'm facing another problem in my passion xpro. after siphoning out old oil and filling new oil, i got some air inside the caliper that i purged through reverse bleeding. now even after removing the extra oil (like in this video), the brake shoes are engaged with the disc (though about < 0.5mm gap). so the front tire rotates with a tiny bit difficulty. please help me out here. an avid subscriber and viewer of your top class videos.

Just day before yesterday I had this issue on my Husqvarna svartpilen 250 ... The front Tyre jammed & I couldn't move the bike at all. I had to unscrew the front brake n travel 150 km without the front break . Now the service centre guys asking me to pay for the master cylinder, even though I still have 2 more free service left & my bike is under warranty ...

bhai Shine sp ka disk brake ka master cylinder ka koi permanent solution batao... kuch din din bad master cylinder kit ka pressure pump jam hard ho jata hay... maine 3 4 bar change kiya hai.. but kuch din bad phir se bigad jata hai... 6 7 local mechanic bataya hay ki Shine ki yehi prblm hai... agar koi dusra company ka total master cylinder kit change krke lagaye toh thik ho jate hai...

This video is informative. I tried to do it myself. You need to get the clear tube and #11 spanner. You should get these at a hardware (don't go to automobile store). Another question would be: how much is the cost for doing this at the local mechanic eg: what is the service charge for this repair? I ask this because 1 mechanic here in Bangalore cheated me pretty badly. I read on Quora this cheating is there even at Authorised Service Centers. Please help by providing a price reference for such works. I tried this but the brakes are still jammed and my brake handle is super spongy. Do I have to inject the liquid back in?
