Seliwanoff's test principle

ma'am do any Aldose sugars give this test..and there are some of ketose sugars give this test others don't why?

Aldose sugar undergoes slow dehydration and therefore react minimally with reagent and gives negative test. Ketose will give positive result due to fast dehydration and reaction with reagent.
