Had the previous, neglectful, owner taken the quad to a Suzuki service centre for quads it may have possibly cost him $1000 - $1500. However, he SOLD it for $350 and lost (after repairs) what is obviously a very good quad. What a find and a bargain.

That’s up to the new owner. Carb cleaning, new starter, new tires, new battery, new filter. Plus getting it to work! Of course it ain’t a $350 atv now.

Nice work. Upholstery tip: After the cover comes off. Use a clothing steamer and steam the foam. The steam lets the foam rise back to it's original shape. Then apply the new cover.

Remember, it could have been a turd with tons of problems, you took the gamble, filmed the work so if you want to keep it, no problem, it’s yours. If you planned to sell for a profit, offer it to the seller for a fair price, similar to the open market. His laziness is not your issue.

You did a great job, as usual! Unfortunately, people who don't do stuff like that seem to think everything is simple easy, and cheap. I think you probably do a good job of documenting the purchases and time spent - as you should. You can't do as much stuff if you give away your time and don't recover your expenses. I'm actually saying this for my own benefit - I need to practice what I preach!

Several of us all bought that same model back in 1988, I had mine for 30 years, one buddy blew his up after sinking it in a lake, another ran his into a tree at full speed when it was only a few months old, and another guy traded his in for something with better suspension travel. Mine was like new with only a few hundred miles on it, I put similar tires on mine but liked the original tires better. The original tires gave the bike a softer ride which helped since it had nearly no suspension travel. The Kenda tires were hard and seemed to bog down in sugar sand but were better in mud and wet dirt. They weren't wearing well though, showing lots of wear after only a few months of light use. Once the edges were off the tread they lost a ton of grip. A few people told me to age them first for a few years before using them because it hardens the rubber and makes them more durable. While that likely does work I needed tires right away because my original tires were cracked badly and leaking. I had tubed them in the 90's but the tubes were showing when I replaced them. Tubes also suck because it means you can no longer just carry a plug kit for a quick fix while out riding. If a plug can't fix it, then a tube isn't going help either. Mine looked like new having been used mostly as a yard machine at my old place and it was kept clean and stored indoors. but it took forever to sell when I was done with it. I listed it for $1500 and got nothing but $400 or lower offers or people with no cash on FB and CL. I finally traded it for a farm tractor about 9 years ago.

@@truthdefenders- Who said anything about being a good neighbor? Is it a good neighbor to undervalue your stuff, not realize the thing is out of gas rather than it having a bad fuel filter, then when someone with more knowledge, skill, and smarts, buys it for what you sell it for and then fixes it up and you want it back? That's not a good "neighbor". It's not "seller's remorse" when the thing is fixed up. Seller's remorse is calling the same or next day and saying, "I don't really want to sell it, would you sell it back to me?"

Once the bead is broken with good lube and simple tire irons most mower and ATV times come on/off easily. Have to know to use the drop in the rim for bead 180° from where you are working. Then the hard part is airing the tire the first time.

Time for a comparison with the Big Red, reminds me of the Tecate 3 vs. Tecate 4!! Haven't seen Charlie in awhile.

There's a glue I used doing my john deere sled. That helped alot. And was plyable. Maybe try that also with the steam

Use spray glue and put quilter's batting on seat Foam. That will help hide any imperfections.

I have Kenda Bear Claws on my 1999 300 Fourtrax, couldn't be happier with them...very good tires in my opinion...stock tires suck even when they're not worn & rotten... you made the right call... that's a cool & unique looking bike... I'd keep it... good job on it! 🖖🏿😎👍🏿

58$ is a good deal! I had to do 2 quads... Paid $72 and $ 90... But some things are just better paying to have done! Just recently did my own trailer wiring and leaf springs, which I would have never attempted before?

Hi and hello to the star of your channel "Vinny!"Hi Joe, I have been a long time fan and really enjoy your great videos. If you don't mind me asking? Where did you get that portable canopy that covers your pull behind mower?

Great job getting it going. I dont know how you squeezed that starter in. Missed the part talking about how the buyer wanted it back.

Most small engine mechanics charge $100/hr so you got $820 plus maybe 3 hrs so maybe $1200 buy back. Seat looks new also other listed similar sold at $1500 so really up to owner in what is a good price for buyer in seller.
