I'm sure you may already know. But do check inside books and flip through the pages. I've found many items stashed away inside them. Like my best find was a 1800s trolly train pass. Also many old people didn't believe in banks and would stash money inside them.

Hey Chase, the hot wheel treasure hunt series started in 1995. The most valuable ones of that years series is the #3, white camaro- no decals and #9 pink vw bug. Not sure on the prices anymore but when I sold off my collection in about 2010, the camaro was getting about 1500-2000 and the bug was about 900.

These videos are always fun. You might want to add some easy boxes. The stuff that's super easy to list and comp. The sale prices might not be as high but you'd have to get to them eventually and on the days that you all are super busy but you are doing your daily listing challenges having an easy box ready might come in handy.
@therepairsloth2 жыл бұрын
Going through these boxes would be too much fun. You never know what goodies Ron had squirreled away. Also, lemme guess that the blurred coin is a "Heads I Win, Tails You Lose" coin. I found one of those in a coinstar machine, along with some silver change. Always check your coinstar machines!

Treasure Hunts The 1995 through 2012 Treasure Hunts can be located by a green stripe with “Treasure Hunt” or “T-Hunt” on the packaging. As of 2013, the packaging no longer reveals that a vehicle is a Treasure Hunt and the cars are seeded into other series like “HW Racing” and “HW Stunt”. To identify one you have to find the low production symbol on the vehicle. Super Treasure Hunts The 2007 through 2011 Supers are premium versions of regular T-Hunts and often have Spectraflame paint and Real Rider wheels. They can be identified by a green stripe with “Trea$ure Hunt$” or “T-Hunt$” on the packaging. In 2012, Supers stopped being premium versions of regular T-Hunts and became Super Secret Treasure Hunts. They are different cars, hidden in different series, and no longer have the green stripe on the packaging. To identify one you have to find the premium paint and tires and a “TH” symbol on the vehicle.
@jds4332 жыл бұрын
I always thought you could also find the TH logo behind the actual car on the card as well. Can't remember if the $TH had them too, just knew to look for rubber wheels.

THANK YOU for the eBay app tip! Took me a minute to figure out that I had to click the lock icon next to each setting individually, but I fingered it out! I don't think ANY of the 'pickers' I watch on here know about that feature. I always see them search then filter to sold. Makes more sense to me to check sold prices first, and if there's not a lot of sold, THEN go see how many are up for sale. Thanks again!

In the UK we get an appraiser round who goes through all the items you want to sell and they will tell you exactly what they think you could get at auction. It would save you relying on ebay bids/sales for what something is worth. You can also put a reserve on items that you know are worth something so it will not be sold if the item doesn't meet that reserve. Do you have this where you are?

So on the Hot Wheels THunts: Pre- 2007, there were ONLY Treasure Hunts, no "Super THunts". So any hunt before 07, is the only version they made for that run. In 07, they split the line into "regular" and "super" hunts, which the supers are really the only desirable ones from those runs.

Hot wheels supers have real rider wheels. Not plastic wheels. The sealed boxes are released by number and letter. The A or say Q are the sets that are released throughout the year. Each one has a different set of cars. Sometimes the same cars with a different paint scheme. But each has a particular treasure hunt and 1 super

@bustos19592 жыл бұрын
The one you show that was a treasure hunt woulld be called a regular treasure hunt. In 2010 or earlier or later but around that time year , they put out 2 or 3 treasure hunt in a case. Regular t hunts could be 2 in a case our very basic , but limited, mostly supers 1 per case.. but you might go through 5 to 10 cases and no Super hunts. In the begaining of Super and reg. they are the same design diecast car but one will have rubber wheel tires and a better paint job, flasher in color. You will find TH on supers and regular the package has wording that it is a hunt. Reg hunts now have a flame symbol in a circle on diecsst that makes it a hunt and inside the package behind the car word stating it is a special car. Super now only have TH on the body and usually all have rubber wheels. From 95 to 07 the card will specify it a treasure hunt usually. Yes a bit confusing but die hard collectors and resellers all starting fighting in stores to get their hands on them, so a change was needed. So much to learn in collecting diecast ,but if you have a good eye and know what to look for there is money to be made or in collecting them. Mostly all diecast have a chase car ..Johnny Lighting , M2 , Greenlight. Some just reg hot wheels could have extreme value but most are just $2 - $3 each or at best even only a dollar. Learn all you can down the road you might go to the market and check the diecast isle and find a super hunt thats value at $20 and up. They did a Batman batmobile Super treasure hunt , when it first came out it went as high as $200. and that for a $1. hotwheel on the peg.. now avg about $150. Will this was long go to local collector meeting or talk to a diecast club , but don't tell them you a reseller most collectors frown of them...hahaha..goodluck.

So when it comes to super treasure hunts. Those specific types of treasure hunts will have rubber tires. If you look at the wheels very closely you can see that they aren’t made of a hollow plastic wheel
