Hey guys, don't ignore the very dedicated markets for collectors of pins,patches,Hot Wheels,Kiss,Alice Cooper and tobacco related items ( Zippos especially ! ). - These collectors are smaller in number than say card collectors but are equally dedicated and have the same sorted spending power.

The knife that was marked at 800$ was a piece that was handmade by someone thats the reason it was priced so high. Probably took someone 100 hours of time to make that knife. Handmade knives do really well on ebay as well especially old ones like that.

I didn’t touch patches unless I got them dirt cheap and would just let them up until google lens came out that has been a game changer for military patches
@deeraad40142 жыл бұрын
I just sold a SR-71 Test Flight military patch for $290. So I’d definitely say some patches are worth looking up. Especially if they are from Vietnam war or earlier.
@ChaseAfterTheRightPrice2 жыл бұрын
Any distinct way to tell if they are Vietnam war or earlier? Based on the history of similar dated items in this batch it would be around then.
@deeraad40142 жыл бұрын
@@ChaseAfterTheRightPrice Obviously if they are dated it helps, but I also look up the names of the squadrons and look up the history of them to see when they were around and if the artwork of the patch matches anything from that time era. Hopefully you find some gems in there!

Think the porcelain figurines are. Biscuit porcelain, bisque porcelain or bisque is unglazed, white porcelain treated as a final product, with a matte appearance and texture to the touch. It has been widely used in European pottery, mainly for sculptural and decorative objects that are not tableware and so do not need a glaze for protection.

Glad you realized you have something special with those Puma White Hunters. It’s not all Case and Remington. 🤣 Marbles can be hit and miss, and Buck brand is its own subculture. Beware of Franklin Mint knives, mostly China junk. Parker had A LOT of variations/sub brands. Parker Edwards, Parker Custom Series, Parker Cut Co., just make sure they’re stamped Japan for quality.

Since I don't see my earlier reaction anymore, that Le Coultre Atmos clock is worth way more on specialist sites, like chrono24. And beware it's a special thing, the movement must be locked with the handle at the front other wise it will fail. And it winds it self up on difference in temperature, a one degree difference in temperature lets the clock run for a couple of days. The bellow at the back should be charged, if it's not the clock will run erraticaly. Enter the clock's name Jaeger LeCoultre Atmos clock, 528-8 on youtube and look at the video's...! Letting it go at 500 bucks is dirt cheap.

There is a really cool way to date zippos and it can kinda help you to know which ones to look up. If you look at the bottom of them they all have a letter and a number. The letter is which month it was made and the number is the year. All of the older ones will have Roman numerals instead of numbers. You can find entire date sheets on what each on the Roman numerals means for them.
@acejon21622 жыл бұрын
