Don’t forget the low end market. There is no shortage of customers in the $200-300 range. The profit is not as high, but you gain reputation in your area which leads to future business. I also offer people the option to trade up when their budget grows to the next level.

I guess things like Optiplexes at that range? I've personally had the best luck with the "mid-budget" tier of builds, like the Ryzen 2600 and 3600 combos. But I respect the game!

The part recommendations are bang on for maximizing profit margins, and they stand for personal builds as well :) I used all the part picking strategies from flipping PCs for my personal rig and was able to build it for a great price using a lot of common parts used in flips lol

From my personal experience having an RTX card will help you upsell more (for some reason) I sold a build with a 3070 for 150$ more (canadian) than a build with a 6700xt

This matches my experience in a well priced, easily flippable pc. I do tend to steer towards Nvidia gpus strictly based off customer feedback, not actual performance. Anything from 2060 - 2070 Super is usually my choice! Great video!

Pretty good video, except I would avoid AMD gpus for pc flipping. Use 2060's for budgets, 2070 supers and 3060's for midranges. I would argue that the price on the 5700xt doesn't make it as great of an option for flipping as it used to.

🙂 its really up to the end consumer, once you get a nice stock pile of cards you can simply ask the buyer i got some radeons and some invida, these are the prices for this card and for that card, its not a big deal

Really enjoying all your content keep it up! I'd be curious to know how you price a build. Something as a PC flipper I can't get my head around. I've tried various things like listing everything the price it would sell on Ebay for, or just straight up adding a markup. How do you tackle this scenario?

Thanks so much man, glad you're enjoying it!! Pricing can definitely be tricky; I know some flippers like to do percentages.. like shoot for a profit of 20-35% of the sale price. I personally try to stick to a minimum of $200 net profit nowadays, aiming for $300, since I'm accounting for about a third of it for taxes and would like to keep at least $150-$200 post-tax.

My pc business has new gen builds with a 3060 or Intel Arc A750 for like under 1k. And then I have my performance series that start at $299.99 and is 6/7th gen Intel, m.2 nvme SSD, and gtx 970. So for $300 you can get a great pc from me :)

Sometimes you’re not doing anything wrong and it can simply be a bad market. Alternatively, it might be your pricing, description, photos, or other listing issues, or even Facebook algorithm messing up

@@Kemikku Sell price is OK.. I would go down to $600 if it doesn't sell, but the issue is your build cost. That sort of a build should cost you around $500 max. But don't worry; you can bring it down to about $630 to start with and at the very least you can sell to break even. Just count it as a learning opportunity!

@@Budgetiers i was able to sell it for 580$ and the moment i priced it for that amount I got 500 clicks and like 20 offers the next day. I see what you mean. I still lost 20$ but it definitely helped with knowing how much i should spend, and what price people are looking for. My last question is someone wants me to do a commission build for them, but I would have to pay 600$ out of pocket in parts and they said they will pay me in cash once its done. The question is do I build it and hope they honor buying it, or do I charge a fee upfront or the full price upfront and build it after? So do I take payment before or after commissions

Where do you buy the 3600 from, 2nd hand? in the uk right now the 5600 is the same price lol. At least new prices, even 2nd hand the price is not much more for the 5600 and sometimes the same if u find a really good deal.

eBay usually, sometimes FB. If the 5600 is same price, definitely go for that instead!

Any thoughts on using the ASRock b450m HDV R4.0 that’s $60 on Amazon currently? Currently I have two gtx 1070s and a 970 and I’m struggling to find parts to match them. Is it better to wait out for deals from FB marketplace and OfferUp or just buy new?

Hey man! Good questions. I personally always want to offer WiFi and BT, so i try to avoid motherboard without them. However the one you’re asking about is fine for a very cheap build (and let the buyers know they need Ethernet) I’m actually editing a video right now on which parts to buy new vs which ones used, so stay tuned!

I’m considering buying a $30 1600 for that gtx 970, so that’s reassuring. It’s really annoying trying to find used motherboards though, always $80 and up zzz. Thanks a ton for your advice. I almost always get my GPUs used since that is the part that has the biggest hit on margins. But yes, 6600xt is a great GPU for mid tier flips!

I watch another PC flipping channel and he recently made a video about how another PC flipper in his area is killing him in sales and a lot of his PC don't have any RGB. In that area it looks as if people are more interested in price/performance than how good the computer looks. So a lot of it does depend on the area you are in. Look on the local selling pages and see what PCs are selling and what PC are left sitting. If RGB PCs aren't selling then don't spend money you don't need to on RGB. If Nvidia cards are selling then use them, if its AMD then use them. There isn't one overall META for PC flipping, not all markets are the same.

Budgetiers, I need some help. I'm buying an HP Pavillion working tower for $27.50 tomorrow and don't know what to do with it. Should I flip it, use it as a media server, or make it a crypto miner? It has an I5-3500f or t (i think) and running win 10. No dedicated gpu. what should I do and add to it for whatever you want me to do with it?

I haven’t even heard of that CPU before so not sure. I know lots of people flip optiplexes with low wattage GPUs so that may be your way to go. Think very old NVIDIA GPUs. You may be able to flip it for around 300ish like that (though I personally stay away from such low flips).

I think the time of year, your local market, and the look of your PC matter way more than the brand of the GPU. At least that's what I've personally seen. To alleviate any beginning fears though, you could start off with an NVIDIA GPU first.

😅omgawd! somebody read my mind LOL! yeah brother i am just sick and tired of all this shilling up of AM4 budget meta performance only no argb no atx no three fan cards no nothing cool blah blah blah rinse and repeat ad nauseum, theres literally thousands of new AM4 videos getting uploaded to youtube worldwide every single day! Like how many videos do you need to see on the same thing day in day out? I am also tired of the same pc cases over and over again. I got so tired of it and was so desperate for a change of scenary that what I ended up doing is making my own content by going on to my local craigslist and ebay and started picking up really cheap really old computers and parts just for the fun of Tinkering. I dont care if its slow and no upgrade path and that its old what matters to me is that it's 'Different' just stop being Sheep and following the herd. Next im thinkg of picking up some of these super cheap chinese clone motherboards and see what they can do, the ones for sandy bridge and haswell are like 30 bucks and the ones that are x79 x99 are like 60 bucks, yes they are slower and older and are extinct Dinosaurs but thats not what im going for, at Heart i do this to Tinker and to Experiment and for Fun. If I had to pick a song for my vibe I would tell you to play the song "She Blinded Me With Science" and turn it up! 🤓⚗
