I remember my buddy bought a trailer home. We all thought that was kind of silly. But it was $16,000 for a three bedroom, two bathroom double wide. It was in a really well kept trailer park too. He ain't too dumb after all. He bought it back in 2005 when housing was over priced. Then he sold it in 2010 and bought a townhouse when everything was low. Pretty smart.

Actually, he did. He said that he left it in his wallet that was in the RV, which was his home. Maybe not what some people would consider home but if you're just starting out and don't have a lot of money, home is anywhere you feel safe to lay your head down and know that it belongs to you. The planttiff probably had more with that RV as a home than a lot of people his age who are just starting out. He was doing the right thing, everything possible to keep himself from living in the streets. Good job, young man. I hope you're doing well.

There is something called Release of Liability that a car seller files online at DMV when they sell a car. That way, if it takes the buyer a week or two to register the vehicle, the seller is not liable in the meantime. The defendant should have done that immediately. The defendant certainly did a lot of things wrong.

Lionel here in Central California. Okay here’s the deal. If there’s a “non-op” and they catch the vehicle on the road, then they can charge for registration as if it was on the road the whole time. If you need to move a non-op vehicle, you can get a DMV permit. I feel for the guy, but he needed to brush up on the DMV regulations. It’s sad that the back fees are more than the vehicle value. You think the judge would know this stuff. Just saying….
