This is another piece of valuable information about building out a brand strategy. It's always about the customer at the end of the day.

Yea I don't know what's going on with KZbin, my guess is that since I'm not running ads I'm not promoted as much, but I am going to run an experiment to test out how I can get more views. Thanks for the watch.

@@NathanAllotey Good idea. Please share! Maybe try converting these into social carousal ads and also chopping them into clips for TikTok, Reels, etc... Maybe take one as a teaser and make it a paid ad to "learn more".

How do you position yourself as a brand strategist? From my research it seems like the target market for most agencies are start ups and say similiar things in terms of the results they can deliver.

Hey April, thanks for checking out the video and for your question as well. Have you checked out my interview with Melinda Livsey? - kzbin.info/www/bejne/pmnFfHRsmaafnbc I ask because she talks about how she transition from designer into brand strategist and her story chronicles how she was about to position herself as a brand strategist. There are a couple of different ways: - Release content on Branding - Work with startups because they are working to identify what their brand is. - Partner with agencies who position themselves as a design company and let them know you can set the brand strategy for their designers to work from - Some clients don't know they need brand strategy, for example I offer web design but now I don't work with clients unless we go through strategy first. (I'm forcing them to do strategy or else we won't work together) I'll probably make a video to answer your question.

@Ells Future That's true. The type of work you show in your portfolio or online and how you go about displaying your work will also position you. Want to be positioned as a brand strategist? Start putting out content in which you teach and highlight branding.

What if the client doesn’t think strategy is important ? They just want to beat their competition by being “unique” which isn’t going to convince customers to buy their product. They have no strategy and think user profile isn’t very important because “anyone can buy our products”
@GofelipeGraphicDesign4 жыл бұрын
Correct me if I’m wrong in your example the mission and vision is something the client should have already before doing strategy and deliverables?
@NathanAllotey4 жыл бұрын
The client SHOULD have their mission and vision complete but oftentimes they may not. As a part of branding you can help them with this as well

Some would say that the Vision and Mission is also part of the Strategy.

It all depends on how the has defined their brand. I have found there are many companies which are up and running that don't truly have a mission and vision and they would need help with every step from defining their brand all the way to execution.
@ThisDesignLife4 жыл бұрын
Nathan Allotey absolutely yeah. Very few have a clear vision and mission.

Branding is empowered by niche marketing. Consider Coca-cola. They branded off of one product. One product. That baffles the mind... I pause to leave random thoughts during my continuing education time! :o)
@NathanAllotey4 жыл бұрын
The first key is to be known for 1 thing. After people know you for that 1 thing they trust you can deliver. Only then can you introduce other products.
