In my day when black cod fishing before quotas, we would fish 6weeks non stop 24-7 some days on the smaller boats because of the amount of product you would end up power napping in order to get any sleep

Oh wow, that sounds like an epic adventure but also sounds brutal on the body and mind. Do you look back with fond memories?

Why didnt you keep fishing until able to unload. Extra 5 days fishing would of been good.
@benbrazyoutube2 жыл бұрын
The weather turned bad for a few days so we had to seek shelter, and our hold was almost full anyway. We didn't know it would take so long to unload. Normally it's much faster, I'm told.

@@tuivatu2022 haha well my skipper made the decision, and we were on a 42-foot boat so he doesn't stay out in winds over 40 knots

Very cool to see how to fish weighing process works. Did I hear Mike say anything under 9lbs has to go back in the water?
@benbrazyoutube2 жыл бұрын
Not back in the water because they're already dead and frozen, but he took them back on the boat to sell them off the dock himself because the company doesn't pay as much for the small ones.
