As I watch this video, 5 sales have came in like 10 minutes after over 24 hours without a single sale. Doesn't make sense. eBay has to be letting these queue up and sending all out at once.

It’s definitely a cache issue on their end. I get it about 3 times a day. Waves of offers and sales and then crickets.

I’ve also noticed feedback coming in in waves! I won’t get any new ones for 4-5 days and the BAM 3 to 5 come in at the same time? Seems sus? (To quote my 19 yr old. 🤣) I just broke 500 positive feedback! It was exciting for me.

Happy for you and the family. If we had $1600 in sales in one week I'd be doing cartwheels still in the yard. Ever since October our sales have been off. Like I stated, the search just does not seem correct. We shop on eBay as well and it is concerning. Just our opinion. I hope everyone is doing well and sales are picking up. Have a great week.

Also, I recommended Thread Up before on here for cleaning out your death pile. I want to tell you that we no longer recommend because they too have raised the fees. It doesn't make sense to send it in to them. It would be better to list the item for a few dollars & sell it yourself. We just want to put that out there. Have a blessed weekend.

I’ve always pushed for people to shop online for car parts etc and had a lot of luck showing people how easy it was to find the parts etc with eBay and the prices were so much lower then the parts stores….now, when I search for a part for a specific vehicle, the results show everything but parts for the vehicle I specify….it takes so much more time to try finding the right part and have seen one where the part said it was for the vehicle in question yet when it arrived wasn’t even close to what we needed…needless to say…not many people around my area will use eBay for anything anymore….sucks…watching them slowly end themselves

I love international shipping with eBay. I did international shipping several yrs ago and loved how they handle everything. It seems to be similar today as it was then. It's just as easy to ship international as it is to ship in the states.

eBay International Shipping: I use it, but wish eBay would make a simple change to the listing template section. When it was the GSP, there was a single button to easily opt out those listings that you don't want to offer overseas. My standard example is a Pocket Knife. You can't sell them in some countries, so they need to be Opted OUT. But you have to select about 12 countries and zones separately to keep that listing domestic. You used to have a 1 button, OPT OUT on the old listing template, when we used then Global Shipping Program. The new way is slower to opt out a listing. Maybe that was intentional, to make the International choice the default, but I know it's a time suck.

I have done international shipping on my own for 20 years. When ebay started pushing their version....not crazy about it, maybe because in the beginning there were many snarl ups, and I got wary. I have one account now that I still do it on my own, it's not hard (I don't ship to France 🙄); and the other account I just disabled it. Not fond of ebay's process; but I understand how many people would appreciate it.

I sell sports cards on EBAY and use international shipping, only have had 2 sales internationally. And both had to be refunded by Ebay not me due to no delivery. Only to find out that the item did end up arriving way later then anticipated. So if you are going to ship International then be prepared for that possibility.

I do a lot of International shipping, mostly to Europe and to the States, but the one thing that helps me is offering the same rates to buyers that are available to me through Ebay. Sales are up and down, but steady.

If a reseller has additional methods to provide for their family with integrity then why would anyone care? It is like people saying your viewer sales are fake sales. That is ignorant and a sign of jealousy. I am in business for one thing…to make money in a legal manner to support my wife and kids therefore, the more options the better.

It seems like my sales roughly follow yours, which makes me feel better as it seems more like ebay is messing up, not something I'm doing wrong. Two days ago I had 3 sales overnight and then 6 or so during the morning. Since then it has been back to being kinda slow.

Yeah, my weekend sales were crazy and then on Monday and Tuesday a little slow. Wednesday I had NO sales at all. First time in a year without a sale. I have close to 1200 items listed in eBay and not a single item sold. It’s just so inconsistent with eBay right now.

Ebay international shipping - I like it but I think they charge the buyers too much. I have had several potential buyers ask for direct shipping because the cost was too high through Ebay. Sales - Year to date up 35% over the same time period in 2023.

Back in 2010, eBay was awesome! I loved using eBay to sell my belongings I didn’t want any longer and also to shop cuz I knew I was giving my money to folks just like me and not to big corporations….then eBay started turning more to the favor of big corporations and making it harder for the average person to be able to use….now I have to basically start a business to sell my personal belongings to make ends meet etc ……but we live in a country that allows taxation on items even on used items….they tax every transaction regardless of legality

Selling items is also related to Offers from Buyers that you Decline and Offers you make (as a Buyer) that the Seller declines (because the offer is too low). Algorithm does not like you to decline offers!!!!!

As for International Shipping, is anyone else having trouble with their items not being avaialble to United Kingdom buyers? I've lost some sales because eBay is restricting so many categories from being sold to UK and I've seen several recent eBay community posts about similar problems with recent changes to UK import rules. Does anyone actually know what the problem is or if eBay is working to correct these problems?

i posted free shipping and got hit with someone buying my item from Hawaii. I was so upset. I went in ebay and turned off Hawaii, Alaska and every single country that is not United States. Lol….. i was fuming!! Why would i offer free shipping internationally????

If you are in the international shipping on ebay free shipping only means that you would ship the item to the ebay shipping center. It is not that expensive.

I've been on ebay since the late 90s, buying and selling. You know, like if you'd have a yard sale, that's how I sell on ebay. I buy too, because I'm almost home bound. There are lots of other disabled people like me who use Ebay like I do. I see nothing wrong with promoting a platform that so many people make a living from, or even just while away the hours when your body won't let you be as physical as you'd like to be, it keeps my mind busy. What's the alternative, shopping on the Temu site? I think not................

Call me a conspiracy theorist but I have a nagging feeling eBay is doing this to scare people into using promoted listings or using them more than they do or with fewer software developers after the layoff eBay can't keep things running as they once did..

Being afraid of the Vero policy and of being sued, I've removed all Lee, Vera Bradley, Ugg, Chanel, Nike, Ray Ban, Fossil, Dansko, Blue tooth and all brands listed in the Vero policy companies names. Took my store from 958 items to 402. At this point, I'm ready to close the store. After 24 yrs., it isn't worth taking a chance of being sued. You guys aren't frightened evidently but scares me. What I’m fearful of is losing our freedom to resell and private property rights. This comment if followed by others is more frightening to me than anything else. This is what they want you to do. I would rather fight back against this bad behavior by many of these companies. They have rights in legitimate abuses but if they abuse those rights the are no better than a counterfeiter.

Kevin's whole channel promotes eBay, and all the fantastic things you can buy there. So do all the other eBay reseller channels. Why shouldn't they? They make all or most of their money from eBay, so naturally they want everyone to use eBay.

I think a lot of the slow sales so far this year is due to economic factors. People are tightening belts and discretionary spending is down. Hopefully things pick back up after people receive tax refunds and have a little extra cash laying around.

I saw Adam and eBay crew at the eBay Bellevue Washington last night at a seller meet up event. I met other local to Seattle/Puget sound region resellers. It was GREAT! I like they are trying to connect with us other resellers. Met some neat folks and talked about topics from the bins to KZbin reseller gossip! It was nice to have ebay start supporting sellers. @kateyreads was talking about international shipping the other day and saying YES!. Adam from eBay talked about it last night, promoting it and giving people more information.
