The biggest issue for me right now isn't inventory, it's getting customers through the online store and converting to a sale. It's incredibly easy to get inventory. I've been following for a while and implementing your strategy in many aspects (Preorder, SEO, FaceTime in the local area) of my business. Even if taking the Gary Vee approach with content, getting more exposure and being seen is the issue right now.

I'm right there with you though honestly I just don't feel I'm active enough online or really creating captivating and beneficial content. I started my website sometime in February and have had 2 orders on there since most of my sales have been through ebay and obviously loosing money on all sorts of fees. This last weekend was the most amount of sales I have ever made but It was in person vending at shows it was my first time and went great but didn't do anything for online. but all we can do is stay on the grind good luck my friend!

“Just sell before the statement is due” is what I’m having trouble with. The competition is insane and without massive spend on advertising, I don’t know how to reach buyers. Thought about streaming to gain some traction. Also, Peach State isn’t open to online-only and Southern Hobby has a tiny allocation of in-stock items, no preorder access. GTS said no and Alliance is unlikely to respond. Without a brick and mortar it feels near impossible now. Keep in mind the context that PokeNE started back when online-only was acceptable to distributors and he was able to build that relationship that none of us new companies can do now.

First part, totally underrated. You’re very misinformed on the 3rd paragraph though. I came much much later than the time when distros accepted online only stores. SH made a very extreme exception for me and peachstate came years later (only a few months ago) distros are actually more open to online-only stores than they’ve been in my entire career. You still have to prove yourself, but for better or worse, you’ve got a better shot than people when I started in 2021

I don't understand where you go to find Japanese suppliers that you can just call and they will hook u up. That's my problem. I mean I know Japanese stores that sale but at retail price and that's not the same. Like who do I call to see if they will be able to stock my business when I need to place an order? Right now I'm a long term investor but I would like to start an online store. I would like to sale old stuff but also like to start selling pre orders for the Japanese cards. Where can you find a list of Japanese Pokemon distributors to buy straight from is what I'm asking? Will they even take my call? Are they even going to take their time to talk business with me. I'm looking to buy maybe 3 to 5k of product a month I just want to start small. Thank you!

If I was bringing in 40k of revenue a month, I would be doing everything I could to EXPAND on what I'm doing. Not trying to shift it to something different. Man, If I could make a living with TCGs, I would be working my ass off. That'd be a dream come true.

Streaming is extremely active job (requires precision) and as a “show”; you need a personality to maintain the customer audience. An online store - it’s a little less cognitive load compared to streaming. Use the streaming to develop the online customer base. Products on stream sell different than sealed products. There is some crossover but not a 10. Streaming has become a bit of a ‘marketing expense’. It’s a lot easier to scale online orders than streaming. Employees can fulfil online orders - really hard to hire an employee streamer who can be trusted, is entertaining and continue the same passion for someone else’s stream.

Question for purchasing using credit card method, wise charges a big fee for using cc usually and some suppliers charge a 5% fee for using pp would you just take the hit on the cc or pp fee your being charged?
@pokene_pokemon2 ай бұрын
For me, wise takes it outa checking so no fees I use CC for english distros But when I was new and didn’t have a lot of $$ I took the fee because that’s all I could do

@pokene_pokemon2 ай бұрын
I find it distasteful when people come to conclusions in the comment section without watching the video. You clearly read the thumbnail and watched 2 minutes before leaving this. Regarding money, firstly there is no such thing as too much money and I wouldn’t complain about it either. Please point me to someone complaining about being too rich and I’ll gladly take a check from them. Secondly, this is a business channel- one of the very few that does NOT have courses and email list or even a patreon. Go watch a Leonhart video if you want smiles and waves
@blake75872 ай бұрын
@@pokene_pokemon Of course I went by the thumbnail that’s what is intended to provide the audience with a summary of the video! Maybe next time just keep your thumbnails honest then? Like why would you make a thumbnail that isn’t what you even mean? It literally says “$40,000/month streaming is killing me”. If that’s not your message why would it be in the thumbnail where people go to get an overview of the video?
