People who were only able to sell before NEM 3.0 in CA never learned how to truly build value in solar as a service/industry, but instead was just showing an astronomical amount of savings that can’t be replicated post April 2023. Nick did amazing building value but also creating urgency/value based off of the current savings, vs where the savings will be if they wait like how they were smokescreening on about.

Absolutely man people can’t solely rely on selling off savings! Appreciate the feedback Steven!

I’m working for Sunrun right now in Orange County and the problem I’m facing is that they are forcing us to take commission deductions to reduce the monthly amount instead of creating efficient systems. I really want to switch companies without having to go on blitz out of state. Is there an solution that can be found working for the pup team?
@SignedWithJohnny2 ай бұрын
Yes sir. We’re running year round programs too. Have you applied on our site?

You don’t need to sell based on savings. Switch the mentality from selling a system based on kWh to selling a system for predictable price per month, along with power outage protection. I see a lot of new reps thinking “man PGE is selling for an average of 49 cents, I’ve got to be able to sell them a 22 cent PPA deal in order for it to make sense” What you should do instead is establish that PGE electric part of the bill is as high as $400 on average (or whatever customer is paying) and as low as $100, but that you can get them a flat low rate of $320 that has a cap on how much it can go up, in order for you to sell a 33 or 35 cent rate.
