Nobody understands how deals are set. He was setting appointments which can be as quick as 10-15 minutes, and had the appointments set for his closers to go back and actually close the deal. 22 in a day is absolutely insane but it isn’t impossible.

Here is how the top solar sales people do it. They have underneath them a small army of canvassers specifically for them individually setting them up, with back to back appointments. With internet and call center provided leads filling in some of the gaps, and finally some referrals filling the rest of the appointments. That’s how they do it. They aren’t 100 times better than you at the doors. No it’s sheer amount of man power underneath them. I’m not saying an individual rep won’t make money. If you follow the advice in this video you’ll easily clear 6 digits. I’m simply stating what separates the difference between a 6 digit average skilled rep to the top of the industry 7 digit sales repx

I was involved in solar sales like this for a short time. I say "short time" because the company focus was to sell very small PV systems for inflated prices, like $13/watt. The company used all these scam methods. Payback on PV is many, many years. The problems of waste are not addressed. Efficiency measures pay back in just months and make your home more comfortable, healthier and quieter. It's just easier to slap PV on a roof and wear 5-10 years of life off the roof in the process. Sadly, PV without fixing all the (70-90%) waste is a bit of a scam. You are just getting a discount on all the wasted energy and a worn out roof. But I guess the focus of this is sales and not benefits to homeowners.
@kalebcook8405 Жыл бұрын
That’s insane. Hopefully working for a trash company hasn’t tainted your view on the industry. We’re a locally owned and operated company, using tier 1 panels doing our own installs at $3/watt… 13 is nuts bro
@DK-vx5co Жыл бұрын
@@kalebcook8405 PV is good, AFTER trimming the fat and cutting the waste. I'd like to find a "good" company to work with. When Tesla says they are installing for $1.50/watt are they using the same calculus as your company? Perhaps we can connect.
@cherishedmemories8094 Жыл бұрын
$13/watt is fucking insane. The company I work for charges 3.50/watt, but our reps almost always negotiate down and give deals. We make good money but that’s because we’re out knocking like maniacs and closing so many deals. I think you find more predatory companies in states like Cali, Texas, and Florida since solar is a bit more over saturated there, where I’m at in the Midwest $13 a watt is unheard of.
