For the licensing, I haven’t always gone in order. There were sometimes I saw the next level of license was going to require fridges/freezers so I would bypass those if I already had space for shelf items, for instance. But you do you! Enjoying the series!

Exactly that. Or if I know I've got 3 empty shelf spots but I can fit more fridges, I'll try to get a license with 3 new shelf products. Although fridges and freezers cost money to run, so there's something to be said for minimizing those as much as possible and maximizing shelf products. And freezers also hold such little product for the floor space, so it goes double for them.

@@ZeusBrown good strategy. I too think the freezers are a waste of space, while fridges are most space efficient. I would like the shelfs to be a little smaller. In RL, supermarket shelfs normally don''t have empty gaps on the sides.

with the eggs you should make the 4 packs over market value, 8 pack at market value, and the 12 pack a little under. so that if all they want is 4 then they pay more

If you read this kage: -Moussaka: greek eggplant and potato based dish. It's essentially, layered mashed potatoes and cooked eggplant in tomato sauce which makes it seem like a lasagna -At 16:50 : "Saint-Jacques gratinees. Fondue de poireaux et pomme de terre" translates to : Scallops with crunchy breadcrumbs. Leak fondue (leaks with cream basically) and potatoes. Don't take it badly :( just trying to be helpful hehe

Another possible help with some fridge storage is throwing the box on top of the fridge if you do not use the full box up so you know what to use first. Full boxes can go in the storage room.

One thing I do to help with stocking, is I throw the items like soda, juice, etc on top of the fridge they are in. Between having an entire row of one items ( i copied that idea from you) and a box of that item on the fridge, I have never run out of an item for the day. This usually means I don't typically need to keep the store room full of anything outside of big space items like chicken, potatoes, muscle milk, etc.

you can kinda do the same with shelf stuff also. my be its a little bit of a cheat but could help keep some boxed out of the store room. so on the very bottom of the shelf on the edge you can actually place the box down on the bottom part of the shelf, then just push(walk) it in.

Throw boxes on top of freezers instead of back room it helps also go through all stock in backroom and then order before opening each day

and after you fill a freezer put left over on top of freezer it doesnt look bad and helps restocking instead of running back and forth and trust me eventually this is best way til they get restocker added

Hey Kage, I'm kinda impressed how fast you forget where you put stuff in the storage room. Placing an item, running out, grabbing the same item, run in the storage room and start looking around where you placed that item is ... interesting. How do you keep order in RL? Regaring place efficentcy I'm totally with you. I placed my shelfs and fridges with enough gap so I can move around without getting stuck. My cash registers are placed other than yours. I placed them in line with my shelfs so the customers can queue between the shelfs. My local sore does that the same way.

For the next license, You only need 1 new fridge for the 3 items that go in it. The rest go on shelves. (And the beer kegs will sell fast)

I see your organization process. But try it this way. Pick a Rack. Say it's "Dairy" and Pack your items via row not column. Like. Say 1 Row of shelves could be various egg counts. Or. Say a rack is Baking goods. What I do is I put red Cake on top right. White cake under that, then yellow oil on the right side on the next lower, and to the left would be olive oil. If you'd like more info in organizing this way. Lemme know. It seems to work well for me. Also. If you've never worked at a chicken place. Id put Chicken on a separate rack all together, and put cleaning supplies on the rack you have potatoes and chicken on. Leaving the potatoes to line the bottom of the racks. 😁 I Have a rack right by my door that contains Soda, Diet Soda, Sprite, Milk, OJ and AJ. I have a separate rack just for Eggs and Cheese

Know what you should do is write it down in a booklet in real life go back through the book and check the stuff you already ordered so you don't keep reordering the stuff specially if they don't have a whole entire Out full of that😊

I buy licenses based on what I already have (so getting more cereal or more cheese, etc) or based on what shelving it needs (so like I haven’t bought anything that needs a freezer yet). Idk what the profits are and don’t really care, but for me it’s fun making a coffee aisle, a cereal aisle, a pasta aisle, etc, so that’s what I look for when I pick my next license.

You know by now what items are the big movers. Butter and Yogurt can go in one cooler, one cooler for the box lasagna and the other box thing you just got. Some of them you want to have the full 5 shelves like sushi etc, but I don't think you will blow through 5 shelves of each soda ever. It's cute to have a shelf or fridge per item, but if you only ever sell 1 shelf of something in a day, that's 3 shelves that are basically just decor on 95% of the days. Especially with you not running a register, just buy extra for any shelves you combine, and keep a closer eye on them throughout the day. Cereals, even though they sell really well, pretty rare to ever sell more than a box or so. Basically if you can fit a bunch of something on a shelf, you don't need 4 shelves of it.

And honestly, the boost in income per day is more important in the long run than if you run out of cereal on one day. Upgrades get PRICEY.

As far as I can tell, my game is up to date but the storage door is still locked and I can't use the shelves in the storage room? Do I need to do something special to apply the latest update?

My first playthrough I was getting licenses in order. But then I started over because I decided freezers suck. Now I'm only buying the ones that don't have freezer things and skipping the rest. Most meats are refrigerated, so I'm not missing out on much.

Your space is great. Don't buy new items untill you have the space for them. You need the entire row for each item. Just like you have them.

Thats Mousaka that you bought, not Lasagna. Layers are not made from pasta and meat, but instead of pasta, you use sliced potatoes and then meat over and some cheese and you do it two or three times...my mom makes an awsome one

I don't know how true this is but someone I watched said when you have your store lights on their purchase is significantly more when they checkout. If the light bill is a set rate it'd be worth it to just have them on from open to close?

This game really forces to think outside the box😅 little tip: things in storage dont sell.. try to keep the storage more empty as possible not the opposite😅 store all the products that come in the “mayo” box in the shell themselves by throwing them. Salt and pepper same. And is possible to use overflow shelves for little remains: is like storage but things can be sold!!!

No, in my playing If I end the day before all customers are out of the checkout line I get no additional money. So now I CLOSE the store at 9pm and finish checkouts before ending the day.

Why does the cashier have to stop for a second and then take the other item its annoying as hell. The dev should change the time to instant. Not wait a few then do it because then the line is too long and plus the line can't get any longer and they are waiting.
