I'm Canadian, my wife is American, and she ALWAYS calls it 'tuna fish'. Not sure why, and it's the only seafood that she adds 'fish' to. I was a bit confused when we first got married because she'd call the three main meals of the day --Breakfast--Lunch--Dinner, while I grew up saying Breakfast-Dinner-Supper. Yeah I noticed that you have players that like to keep stock and players that don't even use the stock room and/or stock things. I'm one of the latter because I love the micro-managing side of it. So, fair point Kage, everyone is just playing their own way and what matters most is that you have fun. For me it's fun to watch your video's because our play styles couldn't be more apart but I get inspired by some of the things you do and the lay out of your store for example, win win 😂 love the episodes, keep em coming.

I honestly like the idea of the stock room when you get to the level you are at. Makes way more sense then ordering exactly what you need in my opinion

2:12 It also makes a lot more sense to me to restock shelves with partial boxes at 9:00 pm while waiting for the final shoppers to finish, then restock the store at 8:00 am before opening, and then buy things to move into storage while the day goes through. Stocking during the day is annoying, and you spend too long paused if you buy things at 8:00 am.

What I have done personally is that I only ever hired one other cashier so far I can hire the second and 3rd when my store level gets that high and I won't hire another cashier until I hit the number to be able to get the 4th cashier. It helps me constantly check out customers every day. Also, you asked how did he come up with 20,100 for an upgrade and the answer for that is that designers use a percentage algorithm to upgrade level experience and money cost which is how they get they weird numbers and sometimes the jumps look bigger than what they are.

Might I suggest organizing your shelves/fridges/freezers in the same order they are listed on the computer to buy. makes it easier to go through and order things. You wont be jumping around trying to buy things

@Kage848 You can easily make more space for an entire row of shelves if you just make the aisles narrower. I pushed all mine together box outline to box outline... The aisles are pretty narrow but the NPC shoppers don't mind. The way you have your storage set up is the way I suggested to you several episodes ago. Glad you finally figured it out.

Put the registers perpendicular to the wall, leave just enough room between them to allow them to squeeze in. It may open more wall space for shelves

As someone who worked in a supermarket as a stocker i can say this game plays better if you buy based on your backroom. simplest way to put it is you should have 2-3 days of stock in the backroom for each product. once you get down to 1 box in the back room you order 2-3 more cases if you do it like this the stock management portion takes alot less time. so a typical day starts with all shelves full. let your day run then at closing you restock and set your order up for next day based off your backroom. do it like this youll never run out of stock and you arent doing bulk orders every day. works out really well this way. You can turn them sideways against the wall and put them front to back as long as the markings are clear on the floor thats all the space you need. goes for the shelves in the store and storage as well. so you can truly open it up more space wise. **edit**

Did you try that in the game? I'm not sure if this is really faster than ordering every day and keeping stock low. I need about 5-10 min. to take inventory and order stuff and another 20-30 min. to restock every day. The restocking would not be faster if I had the items in the storage, would it?

@@stummelschwanzzwergtyrann yea its faster and more efficient only takes maybe 5-10 mins to stock in full and order for the day especially if you stay organized in your backroom. so for my backroom i have my shelves lined up starting from the left wall (when you go in from store door) and i have them in rows back/front i think 3 deep along the walls i think i squeezed in 4 id have to check to be sure rows start from back wall and come towards the store. now to organize i use 1 column of each rack partial case goes on the floor for big boxes so i can see the label then above it goes full cases. once we have side labels ill change it. small boxes are easier those i have 2 racks and each shelf gets a diff product since you can store more of them you just cant see the label on them. now for me once last customer is checking out or shortly before ill go start restocking from backroom and as i get to 1 box left in backroom i pop by pc and order 2-3 more rinse and repeat, end the day open the store place my order toss it in storage now im free to hop on a register or watch my crew work. works well for me. also dont push for all the licenses always plan space and storage before you pop a new license also you can skip some and there are spreadsheets out there that show how much items buy/sell for so you can skip low income ones if need be

@@pappawolfie Thanks for your detailed answer. But I'm not convinced jet :) I have 101 Products licensed and I sell them all. I don't believe there is a way to restock 101 Products in 10 min. That would be 10 Products per min. or 1 Product every 6 seconds, if I only had to restock one box per product. BTW I'm not speed-running the game. I kinda like the restocking :)

What I end up doing for the fridges is put one product per column on the bottom four shelves, and one product across the top row of two fridges. So I fit five products in two fridges, and they each get four shelves and it doesn't look horrible. For example, I have orange juice and apple juice in one fridge, two brown sodas in another fridge, and water across the top of both.

I have only 20 hours in this game, but if you do increments of .25 instead of .50, you'll never have complaints. I turned my cashiers sideways along the front of the store with coolers in front of them and my isles run perpendicular kind of like a Safeway. You don't loose space because the wall where the cashiers are now becomes available. End caps would be nice! I love this lets-play, btw!!!

I believe if you box the register up, the checker will just hop to the next open one. You’d have to fire them if you want to be the only one doing it.

Just wanted to let you know that the save file for this game is universal to the computer. After 13 hrs of gameplay my wife decided to buy the game and play under her account. Next day I went to play my game and it was her save under my account. Lost all my progress. Letting you know in case your wife ever plays under her account and will overwrite your game. Would hate to see you lose all your progress. Please let your viewers know about this flaw in the game to save them frustration.

Your assumption is incorrect about people who don’t keep a load of back stock. At least for me, I don’t order or stock at all during the day. I do that once in the morning before the store opens and never have to think about it again the rest of that day. It never feels like the spinning plate game and I only ever end up with maybe 5-10 boxes in the back each day. Each morning I put out the back stock, then take inventory, then order everything and put out all I can and return the extra to the back room (the 5-10 boxes I mentioned). Then I open the day and either check or watch my workers check. I never need to put anything out during the day. So long as each item had approximately 3 shelves stocked (as in 3/4 of a column) I’ve never had something run out. The only time I’ve had that happen was near the end of the day the first time I stocked toilet paper and chicken, in which case I just added an extra shelf for them the next day and I’ve never had it happen again. It really seems like you’re making it harder for yourself than it needs to be. I never have to try and find something in the back room. That just gives me a headache thinking about it. 😂 Anyway hopefully that explains better what no-backstock people are doing. We’re just ordering and stocking once a day not ordering every time we’re out of something. That’d be insane. 😂 To me your way seems ridiculously busier than what I do though, but I’m glad it works for you.

I did more research on pricing and if you are over the market price by 5% or higher you will get too expensive complaints. the best pricing is at nearest .10 that way you do not go over 5% market price. with your .50 rounding you need to price under market on items under $10
