Hi Paul, me and the missus saw it coming the downfall of Britain. We left in December moved to Portugal bought cheap land with 1½acres and log cabin. Cheap living sunshine and freedom from corrupt politicians. Good luck with the sale of your Milly and the move. Seriously all the best.👍😊

We moved to Bulgaria during covid my advice to you is . Dont buy a cheap house as it will be knackered and cost a fortune to make it livable . Water supply can be a major issue in the summer . There are stray dogs everywhere. Bring good power tools with you . The weather is fantastic shorts on 8 months of the year . Good luck

@@TheOffgridNomadUK we made a list of what we wanted and we where very lucky with what we bought do lots of research on the area . We wanted to be off grid and remote with no neighbour's and we now live in a forest up a mountain. We can live comfortably with 2 dogs 2 cats and running 2 large 4x4 for £1000 a month and we eat out once a week . I would not bring a uk vehicle buy a lhd from Italy or Germany . I bought a discovery 300tdi from Belgium it's a minter .

Most people buy a banger & a cheap caravan to move over . Once you get there you can buy a new campervan registered there . Just an idea . All best to you both 👍

Yer bought a jumbo transit to move and sell over there and we will buy a motorhome later over there or build a big 4x4 overlander

Could you please do a video of the process in taking your dogs with you to Bulgaria. I have two elderly dogs & they're the only things that are holding me back from doing the same. All the very very best to you both & the dogs. Also, I don't have a EU passport 😢

EU passports you get once your out there think if you Google it a few vets pop up you can use we are only going 1 way so no need to bring dogs back to UK I know it's going to cost min of £250

Rabies vaccine - 21 days before travel - AHC from vet - then u must travel within 10 days. To get an EU passport your dog will have to have a rabies booster in Europe ( find a vet that will do one for 3 yrs ) x been thru it - my 3 all have Belgium passports for 3 yrs x

FYI it’s less than the distance between Edinburgh and Brighton from VT to Ukraine border (approx 400 miles) - doesn’t bother me - I love my little BG hideaway - but Russia still has a huge influence on the BG political landscape and there are plenty of rumours floating around that Russia would love to ‘take BG back’ one day…🤷‍♀️ Good luck with your van sale and your journey to BG - it’s an epic trip - have done it once in an ancient 6.5 tonne classic American RV with pets, and this time planning to get a van in UK like you and bring the last of my stuff back to BG this summer - although am dreading driving in the relentless 35-40 degree heat - July & Aug in Eastern Europe is just too hot for me!🥵

You can stay in Bulgaria for 90 days, unless you have already overcome all the red tape, to allow you to stay longer. Have you got all that stuff sorted? Seems very involved?
