Good morning, Even though I don't do lots of wood now, that throwing up into the trailer or truck is what gets me. Today I am getting 900.00 worth of steel delivered to build a conveyor. Been planning on building one for years and now's the time. Electric powered, 16' long, drop the wood off the splitter onto the conveyor and there you have it! Have a great day. Mike

@@InTheWoodyard Nah! He'd have to split the steel. And you'd be exhausted throwing wood in, then running to the other end to catch it and throw it in the trailer! It does sound awesome for a business. Fw elevators are TOO DANG EXPENSIVE!! I question the electric powered. I'd have to run almost a quarter mile of extension cords. Did that once, Mom decided to bush hog,...if you guessed 'disaster!!!!', you'd be right! You could prob get away with it since the electric would be running downhill for most of your yard. Or you could fit them with a Model T crank. Chris would love that!! Not to brag, but I almost got a degree in electrical plumbing down at the University of Science! GNI.

I have a dump trailer as well and was a great investment. When I hook up the wiring harness and brake cable I hook the latch pin under them than go through the trailer hitch coupler to keep them all up neat. My question is how often do you have to keep your battery charged for the trailer or ever had a issue where not enough juice to lift it. ..I chose my words carefully here.

I get about 6-10 lifts most of the time in warm weather, in the cold 4-6...maybe. If it is -10 or -20 a couple lifts reallllllly slooooow.

This would probably not be that good of an idea in practice, but I think it would be cool, at least in the winter to have a 55 gallon burn barrel sitting close to where you are working and as you split or even cutting.. all those slivers and other crap that falls off you could just toss in the barrel as its already burning and maybe the cleanup wouldn't be bad after you're done splitting or even cutting that locust maybe (the one where the bark slides off super easy). Then you started with some sorta wild pitches, a couple like helicopter pitches, only seen in Bugs Bunny cartoons before today!! Didn't get any speed reads, and then you went hyper!!! After that, I couldn't tell what the heck you were throwing. Watch the shoulder and elbow, be careful! Obviously no rookie, so no big signing bonus. Might as well keep tossing firewood! That's where the big buck$ are anyway!!!! And a longer career, like Kenny and Tony, Hall of Famers for sure!! When it comes to wet firewood, bigotry is underrated!! However Illinois is not so bad. I mean they're almost never rude enough to Ohio State to win! And think, if not for Chicago, millions of people would have no place to go, except up in Wisconsin, cuttin' firewood! Millions!!
