For the first time ever, I have listened to a sales expert who makes me see selling differently. I've always "hated" selling and I've said it a billion times 'im not a sales person'. But Myron, you've made me think 🤔 "what if I'm really a sales person, but I've been waiting for someone to show it to me". Your selling philosophy resonates with what I've always believed.

Emotion CAUSES Motion - that is the first thing I learned in sales. If you can get someone’s emotions feel as if they need your product or service because it will help them, they will buy. Essentially, “convincing” and “selling” are the same concepts because both have elements of straight line communication or as Jordan Belfort would say “Goal Oriented Communication…” I get that both “convincing” and “selling” have a different target audience/ goal, but why would you try and explain and make both concepts more complicated when it really should be simple since you are trying to teach the concept of sales ? All in all a great video though with great information !

Love this! Every decision is emotionally driven at it's core. Even if someone is putting together a cost benefit analysis and selection process, it's because they want to FEEL GOOD about having a process in place. The ultimate decision to buy is always emotional in its final moment!

I have been seeking for weeks how to create an environment that will motivate the customer to buy. Sadly to say I am still seeking after looking at this video. Words are not enough simply because some people are visual and some are not moved by either one. It is so hard to figure out what people want when selling products. I've learned you just have to put it out there over and over and over again and eventually the right target audience will be drawn to what you are selling.

I think the problem is trying to figure out ( the invisible) why people want to buy something...why not just ask them through a survey. We did this in our business and our customers told us what next they wanted to by and why then we offered it them. It worked. Try not to listen for the what but how u should shift your thinking about sales. I hope u find this helpful

If you wanna be successful, you most take responsibility for your emotions, not place the blame on others. In addition to make you feel more guilty about your faults, pointing the finger at others will only serve to increase your sense of personal accountability. There's always a risk in every investment, yet people still invest and succeed. You must look outward if you wanna be successful in life.

Sounds great! But when people are comparing prices they may feel like they want to buy but they still may go with the cheaper option. I lost a sale today because my price was for a Royce top quality but the competition was selling junk cars. Customer loved me and even called to say I really want to go with you but the other guys are a lot cheaper. I guess she wanted the most expensive option because she knew it was the best!! But still went with the cheaper guy. So some people are still not going to buy no matter what you say!!
@dapoonamusi2 жыл бұрын
Pricing is a reflection of your 'Presence' (Brand Positioning and Influence) in the minds of your customers. You can not win a price battle, because there will always be someone cheaper. However you can own the 'Value turf' by consistently presenting yourself as the go-to guy for value that is uncompromised. Out of 8bn people on the planet, your kind of clients will find you soon enough. Don't worry about the cheap client, he was never yours. If you sell caviar, don't attract clients who buys chips.

I looked up the etymology. Persuasion is strongly urging someone to do something sweet. Convincing is to overcome an argument gain victory through logic. So essentially both are bad. Mr. Golden needs a new word to describe creating an environment where people Feel like buying where they are not Urged by emotional pleas or pressured by logic.
@johnscarpentrytv43582 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your angel. Although, this for me felt like a very deep rabbit hole from my view. I'm sure we could line up 10 different seasoned sales people and they would all have their own take and the one who could articulate their side the best; most anybody would believe its the better approach. And I'm not here to say I'm better. But just sharing my take and approach. I am a in home sales consultant and as soon as I walk into their home I set a clear agenda as to what my process will entail so that I take control of the appointment and execute my full thorough presentation. However, I clearly articulate that I'm not that car salesman trying to sale a high ticket item. That at the end of this appointment, I will have fully educated them on ALL the other options out there and the pros and cons of each, cost and timelines, warranties etc. and why our product is a better fit. and this way, THEY can make an educated decision on what's best for them. When I convey this objective to them, they immediately see right through me that I'm here truly helping them. Because anyone can see right through that pushy sales person just trying to get a win and when someone is genuinely here to help them. They always tell me; THANK YOU and as I execute my presentation and show them how I'm saving them money with a better product and service -I keep pointing out how see, how "I" am helping with a cost effective purchase (because of this or that) and they love me at that point. They clearly see that I'm not that stranger in their home trying to fool or pressure them out of their money. However, yea, I'm not always closing and mostly its because their seeking an x number of quotes, or it was a one-leger-I need to speak with my wife/husband or they just didn't have any idea of what it would cost and above their means or their just dead set on a different product or didn't grasp most of what I said because their dog yappers had control of the full appointment -HAHA. In conclusion, aside of everyone's "winner" approach, there is just no magic wand we can wave in front of potential customers that's gonna make them say yes
