Well yea,To be honest,The longsword is an all rounder but other swords has better advantage on some parts,like the rapier,It might be dexterous but that thing were mostly used for piercing and also the katana which is better at slashing but not so durable(but that depends on who made it) Conclusion:The blade will only suck when you suck at swordsmanship

one handed spear and shield has been utilized throughout the ages. but more so on intuitiveness and cost effectiveness rather than utility. it takes a tenth of the time to train a spearman. and a stick with a pointy end is usually cheaper than a sword of similar reach.

@@vadimblin not really true. great swords aren't that much heavier than longsowrds (+100-200g). but because they are longer the center of mass is more forward and thus it needs some different techniques. in an actual 1vs1 the greatsowrd has the range advantage if the fight is in an open room or field. but still the winner is who is better at using the techniques and not who is carrying the "better" sowrd form.

@@vadimblin have you ever actually used a greatsword? They aren't that much heavier. I use the Montante, it's a huge sword but the weight difference isn't much between my Montante and my Longsword. The truth is, the Montante has range advantage and that isn't something to just ignore. Anyone who uses a greatsword like anime or Dark Souls does will definitely get you killed though. You have a longer range with a greatsword. Utilize it.

@@darthganon944 vibranium might actually be like cortosis since it deflects all energy (which with lightsabers could mean it shorts). Adamantium has generally been shown to be stronger than other types of steel, but hasn't shown more heat resistance. Therefore I am going to assume it is more along the lines of durasteel.
