Dude, I loved the videos about driving that you published on your channel. Please make more! Unfortunately, Canada has its share of bad drivers, and I found your videos very educational, especially when you discuss the laws and explain what’s being violated. If you can, please make more videos. If you could visit the Waterloo region and make some videos there, you’d see serious issues as well. In many parts of Waterloo, Kitchener, and Cambridge, it’s common to drive at 40 km/h in front of schools, but some drivers still overtake as if they’re going 60 or even 70 km/h. It’s shocking how fast they go, especially in school zones, and it’s not hard to see this happening frequently. There are many bad drivers in the Waterloo region, too. If you can, making a video there would be awesome-you’d capture a lot of incidents. I wish you success with your channel!

Not all USB C cables are the same, try the small cable which it came with to go from mac HOST > DOCK or a longer usb4 full speed rated cable.

Good idea I think it would be worth a shot. It looked like he had one of apple's cables most of which are for power and usb2 not thunderbolt or usb4

have you considered making or purchasing a nas?

I agree with this, it would make much more sense. If you have the ability or inclination go with self build, preferably with how you're set up, I'd suggest two machines, one for your editing and another for backups.

Next video :) I just got a NAS and I have a spare machine for backup.

Yes :) I just got one.

@@MikeDancy it's gonna be so useful. I stopped purchasing 2tb mbp and now my nas storage comes with me to my next laptop whenever my current laptop fails. I also use it to back up the photos from the phones of everyone in my family so they no longer complain about running out of phone storage

Why not put massive m.2 and 2.5 SSD inside the enclosure get rid of all other backups

I didn’t have one at the time. I’m going to try something different shortly

Does the SD-Card slot work with a full sized SD-Card? Ist the micro-SD to SD-Card adapter working (i had a bunch of them not working properly) If you turn the base unit the delivered cable should be long enough does it work then as expected? Probably as mentioned above using a certified TB3 or 4 cable or a certified USV-4 cable should also avoid the problems. If not perhaps returning the device for an exchange unit.
@MikeDancy7 күн бұрын
I had no luck with either a full size SD card or the adaptor. The cable is long enough of I turn it around but I like access to the ports. I’ll try that cable. Thanks for suggesting it.

@@MikeDancy So for me it sounds SD-Card slot defect, reason for exchange. The cable length is calculated for the matching arrangement front to front back to back, but you should easily find matching cables with the required specification and matching length for your special needs (TB-cables are available up to 3m of length whatever this is in imperial measurements)

I tried several of those Mac mini docks and ended up returning them all. Random disconnects of the drives will probably be an issue for you.

I think you’re right. It’s annoying. I ended up getting a NAS also. But I was hoping that the sold readers would work

A little off the subject but a neighbor gave me a Toshiba Satellite A205-S5804 laptop with core 2 duo CPU at 1.60 gHz and 3 GB RAM. I upgraded it to a 160GB HDD and Win 8.1 Pro. What is it good for?
@MikeDancy2 күн бұрын
It’s pretty to look at. But there isn’t much it can do. Some people like to play older games on original hardware.

@@MikeDancy thanks for replying. Thats pretty much what I thought. Maybe I can play Doom and Wolfenstein.
