I can’t thank you enough for this video. I’m a Blue Mountains girl who has been overseas, unable to return for over two years. Yet for eight blissful minutes I felt like I was home-I could feel the crunch of sandstone under foot, smell the sharp tang of eucalypt, sense the tickle of an ant running across my fingers, and touch those slick algal rocks of the falls. The screeching of the black cockies made me cry. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

@@IntotheWildFilms Thanks, I'll be watching for it. When I was 5, my sisters and I had a winter with successive mumps, measles and chickenpox. To help us recover, my parents took us to Lawson for the August school holidays in the clean fresh mountain air. We kept going back, and so I learnt a lot about the Blue Mountains and the area from the Hartley Valley west to Bathurst and south to Jenolan Caves, and into the Newnes Valley. Since I retired, I've had several day trips to the Mountains and found the Pearce's Pass walks. My father's mother's family had been amongst the earliest settlers in the Rylstone area, and I'm planning a trip back there. Lots of records in the church registry I'd like to go through.

Phillip, stunning scenery, great videography. Loved the time lapse especially the waves of clouds rolling into the Mountains and the water falls.

Thanks Robert, yes a very time consuming process capturing all those long exposure waterfall shots. You never get to see the fluid like motion of the clouds in real time which is the great thing about time lapse. So glad you enjoyed it. Stay safe, cheers Phil
@Bionic_Rob3 жыл бұрын
@@IntotheWildFilms Yes, you could only see something like the cloud waves dashing themselves on the cliffs with time lapse. Only tried a few time lapse myself because the Nikon D7500 camera battery goes flat within a couple of hours. Imagine you would need good weather and an additional auxiliary power supply for your camera not to mention keeping an eye on it to make sure it wasn't stolen during the time lapse. Congratulations again on your perseverance and pursuit of excellence.
@IntotheWildFilms3 жыл бұрын
The cloud time lapses were a bit easier, from memory I had them on a five second interval and a faster shutter speed due to sunlight. I'd shoot off 200 shots (8 seconds playback at 25FPS) then move the camera to the next location. So I think that works out at about 16-17 minutes for each shot. Had a few battery changes that morning.
