Although most of us usually praise the brilliant work done by the photographers & an editor, I'd like to take this opportunity to express my highest admiration & kudos upon this rare, unique narrator w/ that dignified & even majestic tone of a full-throated deep baritone voice. So impressive & effective to enhance a wealth of magnificence, intrigue, & excitement on these docs. that it seems unrivaled & almost incomparable to any others in the whole world!--Have you discerned it that his voice was so low-pitched, unique that it was even resonated or echoed a bit at end of his narration? Holy Smoke! How often could you come across w/ such an ineffably distinguished, rare human voice? ( & I've watched numerous nature docs. since decades ago ). And yet, w/ no qualms at all, this one, Mr. Steve Chamber's voice, stands head & shoulders above the rest like no one else. Or am I the only one who feels sentient of it? Soundly enjoying, admiring, & appreciating it to the core of my soul at the opulent comfort of my residence in California. My heartfelt gratitude for the Australian nature documentary.,,,,(04/23/24)

I've shared this film countless times on other sites ( I hope the producers don't mind) when people have asked me where I live and I tell them "this is my backyard" for I've lived here for over 40 years and I'm still learning about it and always will. There are other parts of the Blue Mountains not shown in the film which are very local to me and may seem odd to others where you can have bustling suburbia and yet down in the deep valleys it's quiet and tranquil as the world carries on doing it's thing high above you. Tourists don't visit these areas for there are no facilities for tourism but locals know of them and don't want tourism in their special local part of the Blue Mountains National Park.

Hi I grew up here ,and it is amazingly beautiful. As a child I lived in Springwood which was surrounded by many pockets of dense rainforest which most houses backed onto. It was a magical place to grow up ,walking down the fire trails with waratah blooming, frogs tortoise ,eggs and bacon bush and so much more. I would have liked to see more about the pockets of rainforest and their creatures rather than the more prevalent bushland, but it was still very nice reminder of my childhood. When I was 10yrs my grandparents forced us to move to the arid south west Queensland, it was so hot and desolate I hated them for it and refused to talk to them at all for about a year and a half. They did it because they said the cold and damp was making their arthritis worse, but unfortunately I've never been able to afford to go back to visit ever in the 50urs since. I still miss it so much thank you for the lovely reminder.

I love this video it’s so informative and I appreciate the time and effort that has gone into making it, it makes you realise Australia is unique in every way. I was born in Orange in the 50s and my father drove me to Sydney Royal North Hospital every second weekend and we always stopped in the mountains to have a BBQ on the side of the road with gum leaves to add flavour, then walk around and just breath in the smell of the unique air. My Uncle was a train driver and my Mum and I would get the train to Sydney when my Father couldn’t take me….I would open the window just to breath in the air. We moved to Queensland but I make regular visits home and always by train so I can see and travel through the mountains. I’ve still got a “mountain devil” key chain made out of a tree nut I bought with my pocket money visiting the mountains when I was 6. Of all my travels around the world the Blue Mountains with the mist has always been my favourite place. I’m sad I don’t see it as often now.😢

Well said. As a Western European citizens, I didn't know Australia any better than the "dry barren desert" that you often got to see on tv and read about. As a form of stereotyping. Then, after moving to Sydney in 2008 as a young boy, I was very surprised to see and learn that Australia is in fact very diverse, including having large swathes of land comprised of beautiful landforms like the Blue Mountains. It made me fall in love with Australia even more as a uique landform on planet Earth. Nothing else like it. The Blue Mountains being further proof and its magical, mystical feel.

Thanks for a great, professional video. Actually, it made me feel a bit sad. I recognised many of the places you showed, even camping in Bluegum Forest before National Parks closed it off for its survival. The "pagodas" in the Gardens of Stone National Park are a wonder to behold - having spent some time at Dunns Swamp on the western side of Wollemi National Park. Now at 82 years old, my poor old back won't let me do too much walking or backpacking, and I miss it so much. To view the mountains from the many lookouts is wonderful, but you don't really see the absolute beauty of the wilderness until you get out into it - walking and camping. Thanks again - and, yes, the drone footage is great!

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment David. What you are saying is exactly why I made this little film. There is so much beauty in the Blue Mountains and so much of it lies well beyond the grand panoramas. The day trippers and weekend visitors don't experience the Blue Mountains that you have seen. And seeing how some of them treat the heavily visited spots, maybe that's not such a bad thing. Thanks for watching and sharing your story David, stay safe mate, cheers Phil

Australia was my dream country to travel, to work and even to spend time with my family. Since I was a child and knewing about the incredible things that the country preserve and to offer to the people, I was so amaze and eager to reach out as soon as I live. I always pray to work abroad especially in Australia, I love this country aside from my beloved country 🇵🇭 Philippines, Australia gives me hope to live life to the fullest and still fighting for my goal to be there soon. God bless my prayers and I will wait for that right time. I know he hears me and he just looking for the right timing. Australia wait for me, you will love me as how I wish to live in your country and how much I love and treasure everything that the country have. 🇦🇺 🇵🇭
