#Locksmith #keys As notated pretty heavily in the video, “most common” in our area may not be most common in your area as some keys are highly region dependent. The ones shown in this video are simply sold more often than others in our shop.
Another note, a mobile locksmith & a walk in store will have quite different needs as to what keys to stock so there is that caveat to this video as well.

This was a great video. I am not a locksmith, just someone who collects lock. I collect mostly padlocks. I am also getting into picking locks. I love looking at different key blanks. They are really cool. That is why I bought the 12th edition of the Ilco key blank directory. Thanks for the informative video!

Great information for all those people starting up a lock business. Every key that you highlighted is used every day in my area of PA. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much Jason. I've got about 1/2 of these so far. Most common by the 50 box, and some by the 10 count. Now I've got some research to do for the Houston area. What you have giving me is a base to start from. Thanks again.

Kevin, I do the same thing when purchasing key blanks. Most common 50 count, less common 10 count. Got a good buy on KW1 on Amazon. 50 count nickel brass by Ilico or $14.99. Check it out!

@@selock, it is right that its better to use the right key way like the LA, and do not use this smaler master keyways (LN) for every key copy, only to have them not on stock. .... some lock smith only use key blanks like SC19 for every key copy .... dont care about master keys systems or that the key is thinner and break faster ... and so on.

Surprised not to see the M13 blank. Master Lock 140 are pretty common locks.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen you drill out or use a puller to open a lock? Is there a method you use when you can’t get it picked? And do you ever “”over lift”? Thanks for your efforts making these great videos.

I always considered selling sectional masters as a security issue in some cases.
