King Street Rob that's not my mobile candle :) I typically ask the owner to use one of their candles when I'm on site so I don't introduce a scent they don't like (I prefer a delicate lavender) Plus, EDC'ing a candle is a pain 😂

I remember in one of your video's you mentioned loc-tite and the mess and waist. I haven't tried it myself but loc-tite now has a stick. Looks like a chap stick tube. Solid stick. I ordered some today. I'll let you know if it works as good as the liquid.

Do you make custom keys? I am restoring an Edwardian era roll top as a gift for my wife and would love to have a customized key for her. I can send you the hardware (without the key because I don't have it).

I have looked through a few of your videos and I have a question... I have an actual pirate chest from the 1700s and the key is missing. What is the best direction for me to go to get the chest open (without breaking it)? My mom attempted a few locksmiths in Germany, but none of them were able to get it open.

ok, so I'm diy restoring an antique writing slope and I want to make a key for the lock..... I don't know any terms, but the lock box is completely closed with only the keyhole opening and takes a small barrel key. But the whole mechanism looks like these locks except only with one wing instead of two and the closing lever off to one side... From the middle of the post the keyhole is 3/4in so do you think my best chance is to get one of these two wing keys and file it down to one? I'm pretty stumped, any advice?

The Smetxy the hollow of the key goes only so far up, taking material from the bottom wouldn't be a good idea due to that. It is difficult to accurately drill out the key, especially in the field :)

We never had a key to ours and we were careful not to close it. Just had the carpet replace and guess what... they closed it. Where would be a place to find a replacement key?

I just got an antique roll top desk, it was open but upon moving it the top slid down and locked, we believe the key is inside but now we have no way to open it. Two of the drawers did remain unlocked while the rest are also locked. This piece is approx. 500 lbs so taking it somewhere isn't feasible. Also I only paid $50 for it so I can't justify spending more than that to have someone come re-key it. Is there any other way to get this thing open?
