That's true and for that exact play I was hated for a guy that wanted to have his commander on the battlefield and I refused to it so I stp it and he get mad at me saying "what you did that for?" and he left the table and it was only turn two! hahahaha ps. I was playing stax and he was playing that UW bunny so I had to kill the bunny in order to have them in controll

Yes but I get where Mike's coming from here. With everything on the board he knew there was probably at least 13 damage coming at him until his next turn, also Winota will probably get two stax pieces, Selvala untapping is always scary and Cal had another win attempt, possibly Force protected, on his next turn. So it was now or never for him.

To be fair those were some abysmal pulls for an ad naus.. No free mana sources, three 3cmc cards, the two 5cmc cards and mindbreak trap. I don’t think it gets worse than that apart from pulling peer into the abyss, and considering Winota would likely kill him risking it all is probably his better option.

8:44 On Spirit, "You can draw a maximum of one card on each player's turn. Subsequent card draws are ignored" and "If you haven't drawn any cards in a turn, and a spell or ability would cause you to draw multiple cards, you'll just draw one card." But Consecrated Sphinx specifically says "You may either draw two cards or not draw at all. You can't choose to draw only one card." How does this work?

Draw two cards is just the short way of saying: "Draw a card. Draw a card." 121.2. Cards may only be drawn one at a time. If a player is instructed to draw multiple cards, that player performs that many individual card draws.

He had his reasons. That Git Probe showed him that Cal had a turn 2 win. So he had to destroy Malcolm with what he had in his hand. His ad naus didn't flip any fast mana and he unfortunately hit Force of Will and Mindbreak Trap (almost 10% of his life in 2 cards). These are the ways of Ad Naus unfortunately.

When Mike cast toxic deluge turn 1 I thought maybe he saw something in Cal's hand but after killing himself with ad nas I'm pretty sure he never really wanted to play he was just trolling. No need to invite someone like him for games.

He had to try to push on Ad Naus to win the game. Sometimes that just happens, unfortunately. Turn 1 Toxic Deluge was wildly correct, he saw the turn 2 win in my hand & its what he had to stop it. The rest of the table confirmed they didn't have interaction either.
