Just hate that nearly everything seems to be made for breath build. Hate it so much. Even the new talent seems made for it. For 2h they just give us the passiv back. Would the 25% also work with frostscythe but no... Including the fact that night fea seems to be the best covanant for 2h feels bad. Hope there will be still some changes.

I don't know what to tell you. They never managed to balance 2h vs DW frost for entirety of Cata, and its unlikely to change, unless they just numerically over-buff one or the other.

@@FutayuriShironeko It is not about balance it perfectly I don't care if dw is a little bit better it is more about the stuff they did for the breath build and not really anything for the others. Just ice cap got 4 instead of 3 sek cd reduce. Even the new runeforge hysteria is for breath build why not something that would fit for obliteration build like it does 20% aditional frost dmg and every third attack with it would cleave or something. Maybe it is just too difficult to please me. xD

@@finjafs251 i don't mind Breath build, but i prefer Antorus' Shatterring strikes/Obliteration build myself, just so we're on the same page... Breath build can be interesting to play depending on raids/dungeon design, there are also more new runes i want to try out not just hysteria. The haste rune seems interesting for higher pace build with MI/icecap(or obliterate)/koltira's vigor. Don't just zoom in on most obvious path, because in Antorus everyone played breath, whilst i went for SS/OB build and was outperforming breath by 2-3% while having fun. Blizz never thinks ahead with systems and how it will stack with each other, and now with 4 new systems at once you could probably pull some weird shit build out that would become meta.

This all the way . Frost was so much fun back in legion without BoS but now blizzard really enforced it's play style with how bad they tuned the class ALL BfA and now i'm really hyped for 2h to come back with an added bonus of obliterate damage and normalizing the runic power generation/rime procs . But personally (because i have no way of telling the difference between the two other than just pure speculation of blizzard being a dumb as fuck company who doesn't play their own game) i really really really hope the breath build and obliteration build offer equal dps charts , because honestly if you play frost death knight and like the boring BoS build you need help .

@@Cyl444444 Both builds shouldn't give equal dps, because BoS is high risk high reward build. Obliteration is low impact. They should be competitive but not equal. 2-3% difference is fine. BoS is a lot like current voidform - longer you can push it=higher you dps goes, but if you fuck it up or mechanic in the fight forces you to drop it your dps is gutted. Oblitetarion doesnt have this drawback.

Dmg wise feels weak and its working in the same way as BFA but tuning ongoing, however, is no where near the runic power dump ability that frost needs to have smooth aoe/multi-target like Unholy since it still has that small CD. Plus subjectively, I always found it clunky due to its weird aiming 'mechanic'.

Give us Shattering Strikes back for Frost Strikes aswell. so it actually deals DMG and has that mid-max aspect of maximizing dmg while consuming razorice

I mean it sounds like the nightfae covenant ability is good for all three specs. Aside from not getting the necrolord aesthetics as a dk, it is pretty much the dream not having to choose according to which spec you pick your covenant.

this is a very good video and full of information that i was looking for. so just want to get this straight: the conduits are the same for every covenant but the covenant ablities are different between each one? Slewen you make some great videos and can't wait till you do your updated mod list and DK frost guide.

Yep, only the soulbind traits( I don' t mention them in this video since they not a big deal) and covenant abilities are different, conduits are all the same.

I really hate that the entire spec seems built around breath. If they want us to use it that badly, why is it a talent? Why give a "choice" when one of the 3 is clearly way better? Plus, many many many players (myself included) hate the breath playstyle anyways. I really wish there was an actual alternative to the breath playstyle as frost dk, but watching this really makes me think it won't happen.

Right now on the beta the 2 handed obliteration playstyle is doing the best for raid single target damage as far as I have seen so you may be in luck

@@wellhiyadude1 Yeah, especially with the new oblit buff and further testing with the abilities to increase dmg / add frost damage. I don't think we're gonna be stuck in a breath meta, but breath will still be the go to for aoe.

I like how Frost dk Legendaries in SL are straight up taken from Legiondaries and legion set bonuses. Like Rage of the Frozen Champion being Nighthold's set bonuses, Absolute Zero being legie legs Koltira's favor being legie belt from legion. which is nice to have back, but why take it away to begin with? I'm not saying im not happy to have them back, but if you took it away, give us something new to make gameplay better. Having good old favorite shoes is nice, but how about some new shoes please?
