Then just go Necrolord, like i will. :P I just pick Necro because it's more thematically fitting than Night Fae, Corpse Shield is great for PvP and okay for PvE. Abomination Limb is, again, great for PvP and good in PvE aswell, if you can't make use of the grip it's still a flat out damage increase.

Nice vid. I subscribed. Hey, currently on the ptr Dark Transformation is completely missing? Should I submit a bug or is this a change done on purpose? If it is a change, they are going to have to rework a few of those legendries.

They did a weird change where they tied Dark Transformation to Apocalypse but has been reverted after a week, should be fixed on next build.

My focus is going to be pvp. So I plan on picking necro unholy dk. But my worry is that I won’t get picked up for mythic plus because necro is not optimized for pve like other covenants. Thoughts? Blizzard loves locking players into a corner and making it super hard to switch to a different corner.

damn you think unholy would be very good inmythics and raids? i love dks and my professions are set up for him to be my first level 60 char. Also since we gotta manually dot every1 now, does it take a while to dot everyone to finally do your remaining rotation?

Your outbreak still spreads, more like splashes akin to howling blast, it just no longer continues to spread for 6 secs, so only gets awkward when you have more mobs coming in after the initial pull that you didnt predict. As for general viability (every class is viable unless you cutting edge) but all dk specs looking pretty decent right now in all types of content (tuning just started however)

Quick question: does blood mist gives you 15 runic power at max over the whole duration or it gives you 15 max per tick of damage? In other words, how much maximum potential runic power can it give? 15 or 15*8 = 120?

I wonder about that. Frenzied Monstrosity Legendary + Eternal Hunger Conduit + Unholy Pact Talent semms to be very promising aswell. "What’s worse is how many buttons we have to get the dmg rolling is crazy." So you would rather want half of those buttons and then just repeat the same core rotation over and over again? 1-2-1-2-1-2-12. What a fun way to play a class, i think you should play Demon Hunter instead.

Tuning is on going right now but it used to be broken OP, right now just feels like a good decent choice for multi-target. Though Frenzied has so much good synergy with your ghoul based talents/conduits.

I have always played frost and blood over the years . I would love to try unholy but find it overwhelming at times. I think I may give it a shot in SL . I will probably go NF or Veth. Just gonna wait and see if they tune anything else. Thanks for the video .

Tbh, I pvp, and used to with Frost. Necrotic Strike (S) was my fav ability. They removed it from Frost so it was only on UH. So I tried UH a few years back, and it's become my main ever since. I always hit my highest arena ratings on UNH. I don't know why, it must just click with me... I usually out damage UNHs with better gear than me. It is overwhelming in terms of key bindings. With the pet too. I have an 18 button mouse, and I move fully with mouse, meaning I have my AWSD keys to bind abilities, and I struggle to fit everything on a key bind, so they do have a hell of a lot of abilities, it's true. I think you should try it.. Apocalypse is nice too

@@BigManJay69 UH really isn't complicated, why do you need so many binds? Compared to frost's 2 button opener and 2 button rotation with additional proc / CD, sure, but I do just fine with 0-9 + shift / cntrl / alt mods.

I think frost's terrible compared to unholy, game-play and numbers wise, but that's just me. Just give it a go on lower mythics or dungeon finders to get used to it.

If it's any consolation to those who doesn't like Night Fae for DK, it might not be as fitting as vampire bois or edgelords but death and decay is a key part of the natures cycle. Life is born, leading to death which in turn decays, repeating its cycle.

Seems really odd that we are pretty much stuck with night fae, at least i guess my DK is a Night Elf - some justification there, lets just hope armours are account wide. Its a shame they don't take the feedback and make the key reason people are taking certain class/spec/covenant combo, then perhaps make all covenant class abilities similar - so Necro could have a green D&D that did very similar kinda thing. (just something to chew)

It’s not so much about professions. But for pvp wise go for first aid. It’s good for the extra heal. It matters what race you go for. Honestly I would go for orc if your focusing more on pvp. More damage to pets. Reduced stun duration. And a small duration attack power increase. Or a blood Elv for the arcane torrent. For alliance go for human for the extra trinket and secondary stat increase. Or a dranie for the extra 20% health heal or a mechagnome.

Engineering is nice for mobility and utility (nitro boost), BS might be nice for crafted gear, depending on how strong that gear will be. If you are interested in tanking there might be another crafted trinket like the alchemists stone in bfa which was one of the strongest defensive trinkets for high m+, since the defensive trinket options were a bit lackluster besides the nzoth trinket on the last tier. My picks will probably be a combination out of these 3. If you are not that interested in minmaxing, gathering professions are always a great choice especially at the start of an expansion just to make some money.

I don’t. I think leave it alone. The class doesn’t feel clunky. Like most classes do. You feel like you can always do something to get runic corruption to proc. And they’re insanely good in pvp. I beat pretty much every class in dueling and in arena. I don’t think the class needs a revamp I like how it rolls and plays, a necromancy type of gameplay. And I love it. It’s honestly my favorite class.

Gonna disagree with you, thematic wise. DKs, especially unholy, fit with the night fae perfectly fine. Death, disease, and decay are all necessary elements of nature. Decay feeds new life and its emergence. Much like the dark druids of Val'Sharah. Or at least that's what I'm telling myself for my Unholy/Blood DK that will be my main alt. :D

Death-knights are also sometimes found in the wild wearing butt-plug tails and cat ears. Cmon dude, thematically better than "Necro-Lord"? If we're going with the "nature" argument than shamans, fire / frost mages, or basically any element can be found within nature. Hunters belong in the forest, as do druids, so on and so forth, and every class will be wearing cat ears by the end of the xpac. I don't disagree that DKs can fit the theme, but it's a very niche, thought out background.

In WoW's cosmology, nature and death are two distinct and opposite elements:p I'm a bit embarrassed that the Night Fae are so far above (from what I've seen everywhere), and I hope it will be balanced when the raids are over :(
