*If your time permits, a few questions (and thank you in advance):* @0:45 Beautiful pulse aluminum work, is that robotic? Can you laser aluminum or does it just cut in half lol? @:30 Standoff for laser: They should build those for beginning Tiggers @5:21 Dual 'H' fixture jig? Would make a great coffee table, but what does it do? @5:45 Sadly not the most I've spent on a dirtwater dog at a trade show this year.

That Mittler Bros. Notcher is the shizznick! If you do a lot of work that requires notching, I highly recommend it. Great company and great company service. If you are ever in Wright City Missouri, stop on by and they'll more than likely give you a tour of the place.

15 years ago I was working on starting a company that does exactly like send-cut-send. I had the business proposal made and all. ultimately I could not get the capitol needed to get the engineers and the RIGHT equipment. Now, I want one of them laser welders but at around 35K ... uhh yeah. I'm hoping they make a welder where you can put in what metal you are welding and thickness and it automatically sets the welder for you. I suck at it lol
@TimWelds Жыл бұрын
Yeah, those lasers are certainly outside of my budget for the moment, but they sure are cool!

Every year I say I’m going to Fabtech, SEMA and the National Hardware show, but I never do. As I get older, I get lazier. Nice that you went. Any other welder manufacturers there? I didn’t look up the show exhibitors.
@TimWelds Жыл бұрын
Great to hear from you, Mel! I didn’t make it out to Fabtech this year, so I went to SEMA instead. Miller and Lincoln were the only welder manufacturers there. Baileigh, Harbor Freight and a few auto body companies had some machines as well. I only spent one full day at the show…if I make it out again, I’ll probably spend a bit longer and catch some of the weird specialty stuff.

@@TimWeldsI finally got my Siegmund table. I don’t know how you got yours out of the pallet and put the legs on, but boy, it took me some time. I had to put the pallet on my stacker. A real pain. Then getting the kegs on was annoying. For some reason they gave all those holes where the kegs go, but you just use two. But which two? They don’t bother giving a short instruction on that so I had to make a paper template by putting it under the corner and popping the holes out with my finger. Then I could figure it out. I don’t know if you had a problem with that. The other annoying thing is that they charged $933 to ship it. The accessory kit cost $179 to ship. That’s really too much, even though it weighs 485 pounds. But I must say that the table is very well designed and made. The accessories are well made as well.

I thought it was a good change, buuut ... You left me wanting MOOOORE . lol Harbor Freight is looking to put the tool trucks out of business . Their cabinets and tool storage are really the ones to go for now . I've had Snap-On boxes , I still have their tools, actually just about all my tools (before they were made from unobtainmium), but what I store them in is US General . :)

Thank you, don't blame you on the hot dog. Economics kind of works mysteriously, you can make a ton of profit one at a time, or a little profit tons of times. When negotiating price if it doesn't sell ...one hasn't earned a dollar 😕

I haven't been to SEMA, but I've seen a bunch of videos and photos over the years. To me, the vendors are more interesting than most of the vehicles, and I'd like to see you cover the tools. The problem I have with the vehicles is they're just so over the top that 00/44% of them are something you'd never drive as a daily. $50K paint jobs on top of a $30K chassis with a $30K engine and $40K interior just aren't my thing. I much prefer the custom rigs and restorations that are in the price range of your average mortal.
