This Semkhor village is an one of the oldest village of Dimasa's indigenous Tribe living near the Nagaland and Manipur border , I paid a Visit to Semkhor village with my friends which is located in Maibong Taluka of Dimahasao district in Assam.
It's around 40 km away from Maibong Town, about the communication it's very poor , people live their hand to Mount having no quality hospital, school for children, Drinking water etc.
What intresting thing that I hava got to know is the 'Salt Well' available their which enable the people to use it for Cooking and medicinal purposes by them and The name Semkhor means 'Salt Well' in Dimasa Language.
