After standing at "parade rest" for hours, listening to orators orate and bloviators bloviate, the band plays this heaven-sent melody, you pass in review and get to return to barracks. Most beautiful song in the world!

Proud Marine family! Dad retired, met and married my mom while they were both active duty at El Toro. I enlisted, married 2 Marines ( the Marine Corps is a target-rich environment). Our daughter is a United States Marine. A full house is a wonderful thing!

My father served in the Marine Corp in WW2 and helped to liberate the death camps of Nazi Germany. He met my mother that was in a labor camp. We found only 6 surviving relatives of her family on her mother's side, the rest had perished in the death camps. He went to serve in Korea and Vietnam and retired from service. Was that good enough? No! He worked as a DPD police officer in Dallas, TX and retired in 1988. Semper Fi!

An ex British Army Infantry SNCO, but I have the greatest respect for the USMC, and also as my late father did, when he served in the South Pacific during WW2, he always told me he had never seen braver troops. That means a lot to me, cos we've done a few famous actions in the past!

I thought it was this song. It’s played in the 4th of July carnival in Stranger Things. I recognized it because I’m also playing it for my city band
