The decision to sell Kalulu, who is arguably better at RB than Calabria and Royal and can also play as a CB, led to the current situation where not only do we basically not have a starting caliber RB, but also can't play 3 atb for a long stretch because we dont have the spare bodies. How is buying Royal better than keeping Kalulu who gives you more options?!

I think there are alot of people who are panicking. Reasonably so because our performance has been atrocious. I actually think we have many small things to work on. Awareness and communication being our biggest issues. I think that Fonseca is not the greatest coach in the world and he has alot to prove. However his formation and tactics need to be sharpened, as well as the way he imparts it to the players. Theo and Leao got punished and rightfully so. They need to start playing when they are on the field. Abraham x Leao will be a scary connection. Our biggest problem is our midfield, Fonseca’s system is possession. Milan has always been a fast counter attacking team, with no real type of buildup. Fonseca has asked the team to play a brand new style of football. I think they are getting it but need Liberali to facilitate alot of the movement that Rejinders usually does. We are too stagnant. One person is moving and the other players are standing up watching a defender on their teammate as they try to protect the ball. We need to play pass and move football and Milan is a lazy team. I think that we do have to get it together, but I see some sparks and once our midfield clicks in, I think we can be extremely dangerous

Milan players don’t respect Fonseca. I don’t blame for Fonseca but Milan management needed to appoint a top level manager to take them to the next level and they acted like a bunch of cowards and cheapskates and hire the cheapest manager they could find. Milan needs restructuring at the top. We need a good Sporting Director, CEO, GM and top coach.

BTW on Pavlovic, indeed he has a grinta and so, but his response and flexibility are terrible also his first touch is awful, against pacy and agile attackers like Lautaro and Salah he will be ripped apart.

Our pressure on the crossers is too light. With no pressure, even average players on this level can pick out a striker like Beckham. We have great wingers, but we’re sorely missing a central threat. Needed Koopmeiners, Samardzic, etc. Maybe RLC will hit form, we’ll see.

We obviously have a clueless coach who has no idea what he is doing, no tactics to put Leao in optimal attacking positions. What he did in the Lazio game was a really cheap move, it was as if he wanted to say it is not my fault it's the players which a sign of weak character, this is also endorsed by the fact that during his interviews tend to take responsibility while his actions don't say so. Anyways, I think he lost cloakroom already and it is just a matter of time till his sacking. My predicition a slim win against Venezia, an utter humiliation against Liverpool and Inter, then sacking.

Simple , whatever they need the cooling break or not. They should be with the team whenever they get the chance to talk with the team . Now everyone saw what happened and talk sh!t about the team devided and puts more pressure to the team .

Hi Oli/Torgrude thanx for the podcast. I think it's been blown out of proportion but I think it was very bad optically and with the very poor start to the season with a new coach/system it was probably not a good idea to give the media memes to batter us with when we are looking to calm the waters, ultimately you could say it appeared somewhat disrespectful to the team as a whole so I wish they hadn't stayed away during it and hope they can look at this from how it looks and not do this again as we need the group to be strong and not build any division within the team. Forza Milan ❤️ we can only improve cos our red sea "ie our midfield/defence" needs to be closed as we're frighteningly easy to play against ATM 🫣

Fonseca has already loss control of the dressing room and it’s obvious that players are divided over his tactics and leadership. It won’t get any better until Milan appoint Allegri or a top coach to take the team forward. We need a top coach with defensive solidity to build this team from the back. Our front 3 are good enough to make something out of nothing.

We looked good maybe because this was one of the worst Lazio I've seen in a long time. Inter and Liverpool will 💩on us. Milan players look like they have never played together, all departments. In an hypothetical competition where the amount of 1 meter useless passes count, Fonseca wins gold. For me the season is compromised already. I don't think Milan has the players for what Fonseca tries to play and the fault belongs to the American gel boy and his puppets. But for him, who refers to Milan as an asset, performance doesn't count as long as the finances are on green.

Maldini is known as the defending goat...20 years from now he will still have that aura..young players are watching Thierry Henry among many others glaze Maldini on all social media platforms and you think there won't be any dif if he was part of the management. Leao and especially theo has already checked out. Theo has ascended this mediocre project in which we are in a perpetual state of. He can walk into the starting line up of Madrid and we want them to fight for this unambitious team when the owner himself is saying winning every season is bad for the league? If those 2 leave..banter era 2.0 is on its way..wait for it. Right now we have an accountant,a promoted scout and a newly retired mascot running this club..they have fok all credibility and it shows. Where is this great scout moncada who has a great eye for talent that we were told about? The mf is a fraud for thinking emerson royal is worth 15 mil. Furlani doesn't know fok all about football so probably took his word for it. Oli most of us don't think this summer signings was great. We needed a quality bump..not the same level of players that we already have..we needed players on verge of leao theo levels. You either buy high level talent who are not the finished product or you get a top tactician to make average players look better than they are...we did neither.

Honestly, best comment I’ve read on the current situation. All comes back to the management, we have never seen a USA owned team maintain success, they use European clubs as an extension of their marketing and branding of their sporting interests in the USA. Simply do not understand nor respect European football. They just want “yes” men, Fonseca is a yes coach, Zlatan is a mercenary yes man nowadays, they got rid of anyone who understands Milan to the core as they will make too much noise and cause too many problems for them. There were several coaches available that a management with any semblance of competence would have pursued but they landed on Fonseca. This guy has achieved absolutely zero in his career but he got the Milan job? But that’s what the Americans want. The fish rots from the top. As long as this ownership and management team are in charge Milan will fight for top 4 and market it as a great success, and sign “vibes” players for some good feeling for foreign fan bases, but never address real problems and build a squad that can actually achieve success. Maldini was doing that and they sacked him.

And you actually hear most rival fans in Italy speak highly of Maldini. He will be remembered for a long time still and his aura with the squad was invaluable

Literally any social media discussing football rankings or greatest starting 11 has maldini there ...from tiktok to KZbin there's always a maldini "the goat of defending vid". Do you know in the european youth teams they show them yesteryear players like maldini and how they use to play? Even if there's a kid who hasn't heard of maldini before..do you think their father or grandfather won't know? When maldini gives them a call and they tell their father or grandfather a guy from ac milan named maldini just called me...what do you think the response is going to be? It's going to be way dif to a moncada or furlani phoning. I'm not even glazing maldini I know his had fk ups but you underestimating the impact of having such a figure running the show.
