SaberTrio not only makes great lightsabers, but they also have a fantastic work ethic. Their customer service is superb _and_ they only take as many orders as they know they can handle in a certain time frame. Other companies, lightsaber or otherwise, should really take notes.

Also a tip to those looking at these two companies: If you like Saberforge's hilts, but are a bit worried about their electronics (Golden Harvest), or speaker quality, you can get one of their hilts empty, and then have a custom saber installer put a full Neopixel + CFX or Proffie setup in there. That process can essentially level the playing field between companies' hilts/electronics. You'd just have to find someone to take on the job for you, and you'll be upgrading your saber completely!

Thanks for this video! I’m new to purchasing light sabers, but Sabertrio only has… from what I can tell, 8 hilt options and they all look very similar to each other. They look decently good but just kinda plain IMO. Not to mention they’re all sold out anyway, so it’s moot. Saberforge actually has stock and a LOT of designs of varying styles so it was more exciting to shop for a hilt design from them, so that’s why I went with them. From this video, it sounds like my ideal lightsaber would be the internals of the Sabertrio put inside a Saberforgre. ;) lol

Also the Golden harvest on the saberforge has default volume at 100 but it can go up to 400 you just need to change it in the settings, so it can be much louder.

Honestly bro I have to give the customization point to Saberforge due to fact they have powdercoating options for their sabers. I remember I emailed them last summer and they said they’re still working on adding that option to their site. So for me right now I’d give Saberforge the customization point, but overall you can’t go wrong with choosing either companies for your saber.

If I can add my two cents worth, I have both SaberForge and S3 sabers and really like them both. BUT, if I had to give the extra points to a company, then that would be Sabertrio.....by a mile. SaberForge does make some really beautiful hilts, but their customer service is one of the worst I've experienced!!

It is, of course, possible to have the best of both worlds, even though it would cost you a ltitle more. Get an empty saberforge hilt and get a CFX/Proffie installed, or do it yourself. Then you can have the quirky designs of Saberforge (i adore my Bank MK2 in chrome with gold accents) with the superior sound and blade options of the CFX/Proffie

If you still don't know, you actually CAN check battery on Saberforge neopixel. In standby mode, you hold the button and stab. Good comparison, bruv! Edit: You can also do tip drag with Saberforge. As well as 'stab' and 'Melt' You can check out Saberforge's guide for neopixel to find out all the features.

The brightness is the same probably because of the neopixel standard brightness. ALSO, not to confuse SOUNDBOARD - FEATURES with COMPANY. Saberforge might use GHv3, their speaker is worth 5 dollars hehe. Indeed. CFX is better than GHv3, it costs more by the way. but Golden Harvest, with good settings, might be excellent too. now for the quality of the install, SF negligates their installs alot. whereas Sabertrio is like, sniper precise for soldering.

There’s virtually nothing different about their installs except for the fact that they’re super solid and their chassis is really nice. Plenty of private installers like solo sabers can do this if you can’t do it yourself.

With a lot of the lightsabers the saber light up speed/scrolling is based on the soundfonts.. the blade ignites to be in sync with the sounds used for ignition and retraction.. you can buy/download different fonts that have slower or faster ignition, and with some soundboards you can also plug it into your computer and often change the speed settings/colors etc..

It all depends it just depends on what design you want. If you iust want a neopixel lightsaber and dont care about design get S3 Saberforge is for people who want specific hilts or customization then they usually put their own electronics and install them own their own. So if you want cooler looking hilts or want to build one your own Saberforge is for you Sabertrio has generic designs but you do get comparable quality and your saber faster. So for example if your planning like a Disneyland trip soon for example and want a neopixel blade to show off to the crowd who are mostly using galaxy edge blades. S3 is your go to.

Saberforge Eco ain't half bad, their proffie neopixel options are around 300 bucks and they still have a nice amount of features

Crystal Focus X is not one, but the best board on the market, only followed by Proffie 2.2 and Asteria 2.5... Not saying that Verso and Nano Biscotte are bad, but compared to those 3 they fall a little behind. Now Saberforge Golden Harvest and Sabercore boards are not bad, but they can be polished further, and for those who love Ultrasabers, bad news...the premium Obsidian board is not the best, also not the worst but in comparison to what I just mentioned... They are crap to put it delicately (they are obsolete and so bulky) and the company its so cheap, they still refuse to upgrade to Proffie and make Neopixel sabers, knowing that buying in bulks from China, you can get Proffie boards under 50 bucks. PS: Nano Biscotte if used with Plecter Pixel Labs program is a great option.

the only problem with Sabertrio is their timed sales... you can only buy certain sabers at certain times... so they just opened their store and it's only for stunt sabers right now. They don't tell you when the next sale starts, they just randomly post on their social media sites and you have to act fast. They're still on backorder from Black Friday sales as well. If you can wait until the right sale opens up for Trio, get it. otherwise, you could be waiting a long time to just be able to place an order.

I‘m not a big fan of both. In my opinion the only reason to buy at US is for a cheap stunt saber (which is impossible for me cuz i need to pay 60$shipping. I‘m from germany). @@KryanBong Just to clarify, it’s her sabers from the Clone Wars, not Rebels/Mando. And unfortunately, they do not come as a set. There’s a chrome one and one that has a similar color scheme to the other sabers in the clone wars.

Regarding Saberforge and tip drag, I read on a golden harvest manual that you just hold the auxiliary button then tap it while pointing the saber downward or just hold button while pointing downward. Golden Harvest Manual : sabertec.net/downloads/ I see later in the video you explain that there is only 1 switch on the SF saber so I'm guessing this doesn't work but wanted to share. I can't believe SF doesn't have tip drag, there's got to be a way right? I ordered a saber last month, I assumed it could do tip drag.

@@SemzNerd Hey, it's been a while. I wanted to reach out again because I've been in talks lately with saberforge about their sabers, the Golden Harvest V3 boards, and tip drag effects. When I first began emailing saberforge about tip drag, it took over a month for them to respond, they told me initially that their sabers do not have this feature. This confused me so I sent them another follow up email which they replied to a bit faster. I asked them why do your sabers not have this feature when the board you use 'Golden Harvest V3' has this functionality as is stated in its documentation (and I linked the documentation in the email). Afterward, the reply was much more light hearted. The rep responded with "Oh if that's the documentation for the board we use then it might work, will be fun to try it out! I'll get with our techs and make sure the documentation we have is up to date." etc etc... not really answering my question. It's frustrating talking to them sometimes... So I had to send another asking "Are you going to confirm with your technicians about this functionality and get back to me?". Cause personally, and I didn't say this to them, I wasn't looking for laughs. I wanted the company I spent over 700$ with to respond professionally, answer my questions, and not make me wait a month or week just for a nonsensical reply. The rep got back to me and stayed on course this time. The Rep stated that the documentation was in fact for their board and that if it's listed in the documentation then their sabers do in fact support tip drag effects. The rep also stated that their sabers only have certain features enabled by default and to reference the official documentation in order to get things like tip drag to function properly. Now I'm not too familiar with the specifics of sound board configuration but I'm good with technology, computers, etc. so once my saber does finally arrive (On week 16 now) I do plan to test this out to the fullest extent. I wanted to mention this to you and see if maybe you did get it to work since these first comments were posted. I also mentioned your youtube video in the email and stated that if it doesn't work for me either I'll be sure to let them know. If you haven't already, I'd dig into the documentation for the board and see if there are some settings you can tweak to enable this feature. I have also watched a separate video demo'ng the board itself (Wasn't a saberforge saber) and the board does indeed have tip drag as is stated in its documentation. Long story short, definitely look into configuring the sound board and or reach out to saberforge to see if you can get it to work. It's kind of sad we have to go through all this trouble to get a feature that, when compared to sabertrio, works right out of the box. Also, please let me know if you did get this working.
