He had his gun ready when he heard the break in, went down stairs and shot at the burglar but failed to see that he was just a decoy for the one already in the house who then shot him. He was a former hunter and trained marksman but the element of surprise ALWAYS puts that situation up on shambles. Guns didn't save anyone that day. Another example is when I was in Texas a few months ago at a gas station standing in line behind a normal looking citizen/ man with his gun in his holster open carrying, a hypothetical scenario crossed my mind thinking of gun control, I'm from Kansas and i had a concealed glock on me. I am a HUGE supporter of gun regulation and i thought to myself, i could easily have shot up the man with the gun and taken out a few other people before i got taken out. So by that scenario the "good guy with a gun" theory wouldn't have worked. Why? Because you'd need to be clairvoyant to be able to react in time to a gunman.

@@VR-rh8bn You can feel very concerned about such a situation and not knowing a single victim, not even his/her name. I doubt that most of the Democrats know the names of Uvalde victims. But I'm sure most of them want to regulate the guns. What's the most important politically wise ?
