Well done. I'm late to the game with the Evo 10C but finally got one and about to start using it. I've had the original 10c for a long time now and it's been great but time for an upgrade. Thanks for making this video straight to the point and with a little humor. Awesome!!!

I use this on a daily basis with students receiving with the 10s. Quality is very good and I have set mine up so it can charge whilst recording therefor able to record 4k all day long. My biggest moan is the location of the charging port which isn't weather proof whilst being used

In the app, I was able to adjust the settings of the video like contrast, saturation ect previously but now I can’t find that setting in the app anymore??? How can I adjust it? I checked a video I recorded yesterday and it was way too washed out.

Hi There, I am having some issues with the camera, but it may be something I don't now how to use in some areas... 1- The camera records two videos at 4k setting, one is 4k and the other one is a very low resolutions video. Basically it records 2 videos of the same footage, one 4k and one low resolution. 2- The video recorded shows a black fog on the sides left-right I think this must be faulty as I have seen some videos in KZbin and do not show the black fog on the sides left-right. Can you helps please?

Great instructional! Thanks. Curious if there is LOOP RECORDING this time? I love that of the older model 10c. I have a 10c PRO that does NOT loop record. I just purchased 10C evo on Amazon. I hope this model has LOOP RECORDING? Would you know? Thank you.

It does do loop recording.

It doesn't loop record out of the box though. You have to download the app and connect to the Sena via Wi-Fi and then enable loop recording.

The record function needs a one-button quick start option for it to be useful on a daily basis. It literally takes 3 presses, two of which are "long" and about 10 seconds to actually start recording. That is a long time when you just want to get going after you have stopped at a pharmacy, for example. Since it is still not a vlog grade camera and more of a dashcam, Sena is shooting itself in a foot with this cumbersome procedure. P.S. Nobody is taking pictures with a helmet cam. It is a waste of function. If you feel the need to have it, then at least move it to the long press.

Also, would you know if it has LOOP RECORDING? I love the old model 10c since it had Loop Recording. The 10c Pro does not. I love to be able to just record SIGNIFICANT video by TAGGING instead of CONSTANTLY RECORDING sometimes useless video which you have to delete constantly. Any thoughts?

@@gerrymalixi1807 I may have misunderstood your question, but Video Tagging is recording constantly. In original 10c it was a completely separate function from Loop Recording, which is sort of ridiculous. In 10c PRO/EVO, as I understand it, they have combined Loop Recording and Video Tagging modes into one. What it will do, is tag the files form the loop recording to protect them from being overwritten but newer recordings. This way you have a complete loop of recordings even when you forget to tag, but will ensure that you do not lose the footage you know you want to keep.

Evo can use only at 1080 60 fr per second! But angle is not as woeeas Pro right? Still better picture and colors! I think I will keep my pro until next gen

Camera app has change and make a lot of problems. 5.0 wifi is nit working. 2.4 is working. Check with my htc u11 : no possibity to get connection to the camera. Huawei p9 get contact to the camera but if you want to change the options the programm close automatcly. With a oppo a93 androit 12 you get in contact and you can change options, but the options to change the paratemer of the video are not longer available. This is really bad Sena. When do you make an update to go back to the complete option list? So you will find things in this video what you will not find in the camera app

Great information but I do have some questions-- when can 10C Evo users expect another firmware update? I'm glad the wifi bug got fixed in the initial release but this still feels like a very unpolished device. Give us the option to turn wifi off while the camera is on to further conserve battery life! I only (barely) wanted it on during initial setup and fixing the camera angle. And how about audio multitasking? I'd love to be able to listen to my choice of music without overlaying the track in the video automatically. As an early adopter of the 10C and now the 10C Evo, I'm really unimpressed.

Reading your comment about a wifi bug, hoping you can help: Anyone here that can assist me? Ive bought the Sena 10C Evo today and can't get it to connect to my phone through wifi/camera app. I changed the wifi to 2.4Ghz already to try if that would work other then the 5.0Ghz option. With no succes. I have a Xperia XZ Premium phone. I've connected through my wifi to the sena, entered the correct password, it's connected but everytime i go back to the camera app, it says it's not connected to a camera and i need to re-do the entire setup again. Done it 11 times now and i just put the device back in the box before i smack it into a wall haha :p. Thanks in advance!

I have one, I can't get it to connect to the wifi to app. It can't stream. You can't talk over the go pro nor can they see one another. As far the camera connecting to wifi you can't get it into 2.4. I have not been able to fix my microphone gain. As far as a head set it's kinda dinky.

how do I put 10c evo on for tagging mode (standby), every time I try tagging it is actually doing it and not putting camera on tagging standby and also what should be my settings be set at or does it not matter for tagging. I turn unit on then camera on it beeps then immediately hold down camera button for 3 seconds unit says video tagging but it is actually recording 90 sec prior, 90 sec current 90 sec post, what I want is for unit to go into tagging standby mode (not recording, until I push camera button again) or is this not a feature of this unit. my settings are video is looping, 1080p, camera sleep off camera is not working like instructions says it should, please advise on what I'm doing wrong

Excellent setup guide and how to use.. Is there any special SD required? As I found out the hard way with a GoPro so dont want to find out only certain SD cards works with this Sena.

Any Micro SD card 128gb or less. Also a good brand SanDisk helps ensure files read and record well. -Alyssa

I'm already on my 3rd 10c EVO and it's not working at all. When I put in an SD card it says "format SD card. No SD card." I've tried 3 different SD cards and no luck. All of which were brand new Sandisk SD cards (128 GB extreme plus, 128 GB extreme pro, and 32 GB Ultra Plus). I've also tried to connect to it's wifi and it doesn't even show up on the available networks. And yes... I've tried switching between 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz. What a waste of time. GoPro here I come.

I just bought one of these units and it says nothing about video tagging? Also if this exists, is the capture time adjustable? I’d like it as short as 10seconds before and after if this goes to the engineers.

Ok There is in fact video tagging on the 10C evo, however it can be tricky to access. I found out by downloading the manual from the website, as that feature is mentioned no where in the literature in the box. Holding down the camera button, with the camera on, you will hear a beep after one second, ignore that and keep holding, after 3 seconds total time holding the camera button you will hear two beep in quick succession, you must quickly let go and then you will hear the camera say "video tagging" If you hold that button for a little too long after that it goes into "format SD card" mode and you don't wan't to do that. Not the greatest system but I guess there is no easy way to do this with limited buttons. I would have put the format SD card function somewhere else and made it much harder to activate. How often do you do that?

It does record you voice to the video as well as any one else speaking to you over intercom. So you could have a total of 4 voices recorded -Alyssa

Hello there I seem to be having problems finding out specific information about battery life. Could you tell me how long the battery lasts on different modes 1080p life 4k life Etc I'm interested in getting the sena 10c evo but as I travel around 6hrs on one trip I need something that has a high quality as high battery life. Also do your remote for the wrist and handlebars allow you to shoot 2 mins before and 2 mins after a accident ? Or just straight up record on and off. As this would help a great deal with battery life if there is an option to put a button for it to record the moments before and after any incidents.

Battery life while using the camera function stinks on my 10C Pro, about an hour and a half max so I would think this new Evo will be the same. I use an external battery pack plugged in to the usb port underneath the 10c Pro but on the Evo the usb port is on the top, pretty bad position if it's raining, a step backwards in my opinion.

@@mickemmett6828 ye the only good thing about the evo stuff is the shape and the way it clips onto the helmet but I think I'm going to have to go for a go pro hero 8 as they introduced a Jack for it which makes mic easier to replace and just more user friendly along with the spare batteries being good price etc. Just with the hero extras like cases I reckon I will go third part as go pro r asking for £50 for some plastic shell lol

Tried updating the firmware and it said "failure to update firmware. Check SD card"... I tried everything from reformatting to completely resetting everything and still nothing. I'm probably just gonna return it and get my money back.

@@triplezeroracing Hi you nneed the Sena camera app. Then the headset must be turned on and the camera on. Once the camera is on the WiFi will be on as well. Then use the Sena Camera App to connect to the camera. The Bluetooth and WiFi are separate. -AB
