The emotionality plays well in some spaces. It can be viewed as passion, fight, and resolve. I was not really affected by the presentation. The hearings are theater to some degree. My issue has very little to do with gender, gender expression, etc. My issue is, "HAVE" the standards been lowered? The "Why" is distraction and separate argument. The question about standards and lethality is the primary concern. Are we more lethal or not? "My opinion only", if we boil it down, the Armed Services are really about... "Degrading, Deny, Destroying, etc the enemy or supporting elements that Degrade, Deny, Destroy. (I cleaned that up for SM the K word may trigger SM standards) I think we as a country lose sight that our Service Members in the conduct of their duties will end lives or are subject to having their lives ended. Physical Fitness and physical hardening improves the survivability of the Service Member.

Respectfully, Senator, many experienced military men and women have resported their own concerns about different standards for men and women to meet quotas. Passing kids through highschool, who do not have the skills hurts everyone. I respect your desire to include women, i agree 100 percent agree. If women are voting for war, they should be conscripted to serve in the wars they are supporting. Many will disagree with me. Rights come with responsibilities. Voting has consequences. That said, the readiness standards should not be lowered regardless of gender. The men and women that do serve, should have confidence in the entire teams. If you, your daughter or son were on the front line, would you want anything less?
