I worked in the therapy dept at a senior living facility for 8 yrs. What I saw was a person having a TSA. That is a type of stroke. Not fatal, and not necessarily harmful long term, but with other issues like falls and memory problems, this is a sign of a significant decline in cognitive skills. Bottom line is these people are protected from public scrutiny. Just like the law enforcement “blue wall”, politicians protect each other.

This is not a mini stroke (no mouth drooping, word slurring) nor a TIA. Rather, the blank stare without eye movement is a symptom of PNES (Psychogenic Non-epileptic Seizure). He cannot control his staring, nor can he speak or move during the stare. However, during the stare, he can hear everything around him and has conscious awareness that he is “frozen” but cannot respond until the staring spell ends. He is not experiencing any pain. It is moments later that he begins to regain control but it leaves him with the feeling of being in a daze and brain fog. This occurred the moment that the lady in green touched him. She came from behind him and out of his view before reaching him and quickly touching him. Her touch triggered his staring spell because he was not expecting her to do this. Her touch caused a sudden startle response in him to mentally shut down momentarily. And that is exactly what happened… his subconscious takes over and mentality shuts him down instantly as a protection. He literally becomes incapacitated because he can not control his response to the trigger. (There can be many different triggers that bring on the staring spell. Anything that happens suddenly and without any warning, including sudden loud noises, can be triggers.) This symptom (along with other symptoms) can occur multiple times each day. Obviously, the man on his left, who spoke in his ear, had seen McConnell do this before. He did not seem surprised nor alarmed. In fact, none of them appeared surprised to see this occurring. All of this can be a result of very intense, extreme, prolonged, chronic stress that becomes manifested into physical symptoms as seen in this video. I know, because I have experienced this for many years. If you have been diagnosed with this condition or experienced the same symptom, please reply. Perhaps we can talk further.

We need 3 things immediately. 1. Proper retirement support legislation to ensure our elders are taken care of, and especially for those who served in military, first response, teaching, infrastructure building, and government. 2. Term limits installed across ALL offices of service. That means military and SCOTUS too. 3. Age limited for eligibility to serve in offices to 70 years old, with policy to revisit advancing that every 2 decades to increase it as we hopefully learn to increase life expectancy. (eg. 70 in the future will be like what 60 is now.) Obviously the above is very simplified and does not include private businesses and corporations. But we need to do something ASAP. Who is brave enough to create bills for that?

Sad af that he wasn’t rushed to a hospital. I agree that term limits are needed and possibly an age limit. But that shouldn’t be anyone’s first concern here. I’d live for him to be out of office. But he likely had a medical issue, like a T.I.A. that required diagnosis and treatment. It’s sad that no one was looking out for his well-being.
