Thanks for the video. I was really looking for something like this. I used slack API client to share test report with my team but was not able to get around this image upload functionality. Though the slack API has the functionality to upload an image, it requires an external URL to do so (it doesn't support local file attachments like Jira). We do also have a file upload functionality, but that too expects the file from a remote server. So in the end attaching a file/image from the local machine is not supported by slack API yet.

Yes slack doesn't support image upload from local, however you can do it using an external api like i did using imgur. So you can follow the steps that i have mentioned in the video and then you will be able to do it easily.

Do we have any API on slack where we can directly upload the image to the slack server, as uploading the image to other servers requires clean up in future, if it is managed on slack itself it would be hassle free :)
