Lovely gentle yet powerful fun in the peaks. Appreciation for your country and rock and creativity I admire. I just watched the incredibly strong but what felt like dour and angry Drew Ruana in a landscape I may never touch or smell or feel, not in my opinion articulating well his love for where he was or even what he was exploring. I chose to watch it. I’m weak, this is not a comment about that. Just philosophical musings on how different humans approach and express themselves on and through rock; the blend of intrinsic and extrinsic, aesthetics, passion, fierce obsession, warrior rage, gentle leviathans on the outside. I guess I know I’d rather be chill after suffering similar rage in my early years. Vulnerable of Drew to put that out. Damn good videos on both. Jim chirpy as always! You guys having fun. Drew hundreds of fails. So a personal grade for him on that project? All such fascinating stuff! When Aidan takes that long maybe one day - or do you get the rage but not post it? Jim have you ever really lost your sh@t? Some random stranger asking dumb questions. Thank you for such exceptional content
@WEDGECLIMBING

Thanks for the comment, glad you enjoyed the video. As is often the case with these guys, they do everything so quickly that there isn't too much room for rage. They definitely get frustrated, but are usually pretty good at letting go of it and taking away any positives from sessions that don't go their way.
@langosc
@langosc Жыл бұрын
Drew said the reason he posted that video was to show how a bad mental state can affect your climbing. The video was taken last summer and only uploaded now. He said that he had done a lot of reflecting about his rage outburst since then and is more relaxed about failure now.
