due to youtube removing my channel for no reason at all, they also removed previous comments in all of my videos. So I will provide some sort of post-commentary to here. So.... Kojuro, one of the most badass character ever made (and somehow Koei's counterpart almost has similar personality). he's one of my most favorite SenBasa character, top 10 probably. First stage, Battle of Hitotori bridge (or Hitotoribashi), is based on actual event where the Date clan has to defend themselves against neighboring clans (even the Satake gentleman club from 3!) after Date shot his own father during a hostage situation. This game however abridged this heavily. Instead of other clans, it's just the Matsunaga! who have taken some of your soldiers hostages! I sort of love this stage, not only there's stakes in the end and some sort of background story even if you plays it on free mode (the hostages changes to match your faction), there's also the ice cave part which I really like, and there's also the wall-explosion-ambush from the Matsunaga Mercenaries which is one of my favorite trope. And who could've forget about the Miyoshi Trio? they're my most favorite NPC bosses. Alas, even after Masamune giving up his swords, of course Matsunaga has cards under his sleeves, or rather gun powders. So he blast off Masamune off the cliff along with Kojuro. Now the second stage, Takeda Frontline Breakthrough, not really my cup of tea due to the abundance of archers and horse cavalries in the first half of the stage. The second half though, it's real tower defense. I kinda like it when the right-hand man has to fight their master's rival, this event's mirrored in Basara 3 Utage where Sasuke has to fought against the attacking Date Clan. Also the slow reveal after when Kojuro told his soldiers to escort Masamune that there's the literal Takeda Clan right behind him and he boasts that no one has no right to go past him is just pure badassery (unfortunately I let some of them slip). Wooh the third part, as spoiled by the chapter exposition screen (by the clan's flag we're about to fight and the boss' silhouette) we all know this is gonna be a dramatic part, and the anime also provides this very fight! It shows a lot about Kojuro's character, that he's willing to even beat the living hell out of his boss just to not let him do the reckless deeds. On the other side of the coin, it also show's Masamune's character that he cares a lot about his people that he scolds Kojuro for literally saving him instead of freeing the hostages. Now to the gameplay, this Masamune's unique, he's only armed with one rusted sword (I wish I could unlock). Therefore he can't do some of his moves that requires six swords, his first's phase is cut and dry, he has Magnum Step and Death Fang. On the second phase however, he gains access to the blue gauge and can spam it, which is a problem as he can't flinch during the 'rage' state (not shown here since I'm playing on easy) and you have very limited healing resources. Oh and he has Hell Dragon now (replacing Death Fang). Too bad his 1v1 stage felt much easier than Yukimura's, understandable since he's not in his prime condition. Fourth chapter, yet again spoiled on who you gonna fight. This stage is the reverse of Hasedo stage (as the name stated), but instead fighting the Uesugis (historically, and there's already a stage for that), you're fighting ninjas under Matsunaga. This stage's unique, most of the enemies you fight here are ninjas and they're a pain to deal with, with their 'log' switch technique, shurikens, and overall ninjutsus. If this stage doesn't prove Kojuro's badassery by facing legion of ninjas, with Kotaro included, I don't know what will. Kojuro's Slaughter mode is permanent during Kotaro's fight, be careful as he can't block during that state (but has a lot of armor though). Kotaro's been contracted by Hisahide multiple times, first this game, then the anime, then this fact's referenced by Sasuke during Matsunaga's story in Utage, and finally the 4th game where Kotaro is completely under Matsunaga's payroll. I was actually planning to do the whole l33t and MLG language for every Kotaro's "dialogue", but I decided to back down from that as I think the viewers would cringe. And yes, Kojuro did swears. OH and the last note, if you complete the special mission, which is defeating every ninja commanders, in this stage, you'll sunmmon the golden box. These golden boxes are only available in the main 3 characters stories on the fourth chapter. If you managed to break them, you'll get their respective Personal Item. In Kojuro's case, it's permanent slaughter mode. The final stage, the burning temple of Todai-Ji. An epic stage where you get to face off Matsunaga and rescue your soldiers along the way. At the beginning of the stage, if you first played this story, there'll be a pop-up that you unlocked Kojuro's slaughter mode. And to activate it you need to hold normal attack button, you can charge it up to three times, each charge will lasts for a string each. Now to the gameplay/story. This stage's is the Hitotoribashi stage taken up to eleven. Not only there's explosion ambushes everywhere, but now you have the chance to rescue hostages yourself! This stage has a gimmick in the form of the healing incense. Enemy soldiers will constantly heals if let be, but they're still killable. You can stop the incense effects by destroying every each one in the area. We face off the Miyoshi Trio for the third and the last time in this story, with the helping of the incense. Their intro cutscene is also altered slightly. The bottom door that has a hostage and black boxes are actually missable if you took too long to defeat the Trio (at least according to my experience). NOW to THE scene, where the kids in the PS2 rental back in the days are in awe every time it got played. Masamune to the rescue! slaying the rip-off Saika faction as Blade Chord plays in the background! (The music got this video blocked to the Japanese audience by the way.) and he joins you for the rest of the stage! And then the final confrontation, Kojuro telling Matsunaga that he acts like a spoiled kid got referenced in the anime aside, Matsunaga's boss fight is really fun for hack and slash standard. First phase he acts like normal, which is already a problem by itself, and then when you skims off half of his health, he activates the healing incenses, making you need to prioritize the incenses while he chases you with his effectively screen-clearing moves. Finally his final phase, he restored to FULL health and blasts the whole temple to summon his soldiers(and his actual boss theme plays), this is a two-bladed situation as one you got additional healing resources but at the cost of being surrounded by hostiles (and lag if you have weak machine like me). And finally, the final cutscene. The twin dragons defeats the spider. Seemingly killed by self-inflicted finger-snappin' explosion, the Date can finally rest. After freeing the hostages they sit by the burning Buddha statue recollecting from the battles, but suddenly Kojuro boutta make a proposition to sudoku himself for kicking Masamune's ass in chapter 3. Masamune however, being the absolute bro he is, tells him that the water's under the bridge. Leading few moments where Kojuro visibly cries. My rating for the story? 10/10, made me like the dynamic between Masamune and Kojuro even more, also introduced Matsunaga as one of the best villain I know.

I'm quite questioning is Kojuro was more old than Masamune? Because his rational thinking was like more experience
@crash2262 Жыл бұрын
He is, historically Masamune was pretty much a teenager when he leads the clan

@@crash2262 I see so that's why in chapter 3 he was quite naive. I can't blame both of them. Their thought was right but I'm on Kojuro side here. Just imagine what happened if leader without generation dead in the fight. The country will be on chaos and got taken by others clan
