I like to play with a slightly open stance as I find it helps me to clear and turn more freely. Same principal??

Open stance helps follow through for sure but does restrict the backswing. So as long as you turn enough and get the club and hip deep enough it’s great

I made a huge improvement in distance a few weeks ago! Narrow stance, feet flared, right foot back but #1 was letting the right shoulder (feeling) turn around me instead of trying to turn the left shoulder down which greatly restricted my turn! So the feeling is left shoulder down and back . Feels like way more time and room to accelerate . Feels weird almost feels flat but its not (use video). I went from barely hitting 200 yard drives to my good ones carrying 20-25 more yards and rolling much much more than previously. Irons added approximately 10-15 yards carry. Now I can reach par 4's in 2 without a 3 wood almost every time!
